Doctors
    #21235170 - 02/06/15 12:59 PM (9 years, 3 months ago)

I, past and present, have had a seemingly long list of problems.  Some being mental as well as psychical.  I made another thread explaining how I overcame depression.  I am now faced with another problem that has been lingering for years.  It goes beyond erectile dysfunction, not staying hard or losing focus.  It is the absence of sexual energy, PERIOD.

No morning wood, no more masterbation, no sex, no thoughts.. NOTHING

For 2 years I listened to the doctors because I believed they could help me.  I was couch ridden, crying for weeks, wanted nothing to do with my family.  So, I thought some "Anti-Depressants" Would be up my alley.  This whole episode was triggered by a back injury.

Months into starting Celexa, I started to notice sexual desires are ramping down.  I have never been like this in my life.  The combination of opioids and SSRI's have chemically castrated me.

At one point, my  "depression" was so severe that I was on, Lexipro, Wellbutrin, Doxepin, Cymbalta at the same time.  They do NOT work, in fact, they make EVERYTHING worse.  You might get high at first, high on love and good feelings.  They are short lived.

I went in today, after being clean from SSRI's and all the damage they have caused me and my mental health.  I have a 329 test score and have not even thought about masturbation in 2 solid years.  So, he tried to put me on fucking prozac...

At this point in my lives, I feel that I can no longer trust doctors.  They have been initiated into something bigger than themselves and no longer look rationally at people.  If your bloodwork is fine, they wont help you.  REGUARDLESS of ongoing problems and how much you have put up with.

I do have Kaiser... I feel like they have been infiltrated and taught to hand SSRI's out to anybody who wants them.  At what point during their career did they learn that, increasing a natural male hormone that EVERYBODY has is the worst method of treatment and FUCKING DEMONIZED, but shoving heavy amounts of anti-depressants, NOT naturally occurring, is the best idea for everybody?

I really fucking hate doctors in the USA, I feel like I am never going to actually get help with what is wrong.

They are killing the USA.  Anti-Depressants are not the future, nor should they be handed out like candy.  They are killing our youth and wrecking the brains of adults all over, suicide rates and depression has never been higher.

Doctors should be forced to take SSRI's for a month to show how it effects people who don't fucking need them.  This is a plague that everybody is shying away from.

Glad to see another soul that shares some of my views on antidepressants

Every once in a while I see these threads that have a familiar pattern. People that come in and say just how shitty they feel about their life, and how they're on these meds (what I call the American song, Wellbutrin and all that) or how they had no idea what to do for fun and good vibes and they went into benzos and opiates.

I usually ask what they're actually doing with their energy, where they go when they leave the house, what epic project they're trying to do and it doesn't work out, and more often than not the project, skill or hobby just isn't there. There's just thought and worry loops with minimal engagement and activity. Just constant tension and distraction, a complete poverty of imagination of how to spend time well.

It's a sort of looking at oneself, having nothing to put one's energy and hands and attention to, other than the mirror. Endlessly overanalyzing in closed loops, what they look like or how they feel, and they of course feel like shit, as would anybody with so little content to manipulate in their lives.

Alan Watts pointed out that most types of satisfaction will require mastery of a skill. And what you have these days in some countries, especially in the US but not only there, is the belief that everything can be outsourced to technology or chemistry, leaving people free to sit on their asses. You don't have to go outside to find out what's going in, it's easily provided for you on your laptop or your phone. You don't have to see other people as you get your food, you can have a fridge, go shopping once a week then live alone indoors sitting on couches and staring into electronics. Alienation nation

Of course it can be done, it can be outsourced, it just misses the point that people who sit on their asses with nothing to do are MUCH more unhappy and unhealthy than people who have to move around to get their food and water, or that have to master some sort of craft or art or skill to be able to get by. Terrible thing to give a TV and/or computer to a loner, ensuring that he'll be able to not leave the house and interact with a fellow human for days at a time. In fact hell, forget about leaving the house, they don't even have to leave the freaking chair!

To see people down on their luck, in need of some love, support attention, and to mechanically prescribe pills, that's some fantastic open-heartedness right there.

If we did some of the stuff we do to ourselves, to other primates, everybody would agree that's animal abuse

For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it,
and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
