First Oyster grow, ready to harvest?

So, this is my first attempt at Oysters, are these things about ready to harvest? I'm kind of hoping not, since they're kinda small, but I figure that may be because I put several small holes in my buckets, instead of fewer large ones. The stems were long and the caps were small, so I did what I could to increase FAE and added a couple extra light fixtures. Either way, any feedback would be appreciated Also, thanks to shroom supply for the excellent cultures.

You want big caps Rather than small holes drill a shit ton of big holes next time and plenty of FAE in the area. You can't really eat the stems unless you wanna chew em for a week.

AllegedCultivator - Can you tell us what hole sized you drilled?
r00tuuu123 - Can you tell us what size holes you usually drill?
From various posts - I was under the impression 3/8 - 1/2 is the ideal hole size with them spaced roughly 7-8" apart - this is for blue/pearl/pink/golden oysters - not king oysters - is there an optimal hole size for kings?
Thanks,
Bob

Those still have some growing to do. Just make sure to pick them befor the edges curl up too much.

Right on, thank you Muda, it's hard getting help here in the Gourmet forum, so I appreciate your responses Yeah, I did a little more reading around online and saw the once the cap flattens out more and the dimple in the center of the cap goes away is usually a good time to harvest. I just got a little paranoid because I know I don't want to come home from work to a mess of Oyster spores everywhere. I know those aren't good to breath in either.
I drilled 3/8 inch holes. But I think I might go up to 3/4 or 1". I know these puppies are getting plenty of FAE and I have a shit load of light on them (six 6500k bulbs to be exact) but I'm getting more stem and less cap than I'd like. So I think I'll try larger holes next time and see if that helps.

What kind of oysters are they. Some tend to have longer stems than others. I don't know anything about growing from buckets though. I grow all mine on sawdust blocks or bottle subs.

I had a hard time getting oysters to grow indoors in my basement. Just couldn't give them enough FAE to make the caps worth my while. I've got 1 or 2 bags of kings incubating now, they;re actually grown for a fat stem since it's edible.

I thought Oysters had to have sunlight, how on earth did you get them to grow in a bucket?
