Could you put some smashed up (or not smashed up) veggies in the PC and innoculate? Has anyone tried it? I think I'm going to try it

HAven't heard of it, but it seems like it would work. But don't count on what I have to soay. I'm just guessing they'd have enough nuitreints to fulfill what the boys need.

it would be so sweet if it worked, i really think when people use manure and shit its just disgusting, and even the wild bird seed kinda aggravates me a tiny bit. vegatables are something i would normally eat, so it seems like the perfect thing if it would work.

Last Halloween...
Just for shits and giggles, I shot spores into a whole pumpkin. The inside was covered in Myc. two weeks later.(carving time)
I never tried to fruit it I just wanted to see if it would take. After carving the myc. on the pumpkin walls continued to grow in spots, it was soon overgrown with green mold. I think it was really growing on the seeds though.

I tried to leave my signature but it didn't work...
By the way... Does anybody know how to get sharpie markers off of a computer screen?

a pumpkin would create a great incubator for growing outside maybe!

Maybe you could do what cricket did, then in the most sterile enviorment possible crush the mycelium covered pumpkin into small pieces and case them. It might work.

Or you could even put the pieces in a blender, add a little water and mix it up and use it as a substrate.

You'd have to have the moisture levels correct to do that. If you think that animal waste or WBS is repulsive (tho you can definatly eat WBS) use cracked corn or popcorn. It's really quite illogical, as you wouldn't eat vermiculite (I hope), or straw. *shrug* compost/straw produces the biggest fruits and IMO the most potent. Thats the way I'd recommend. Try extracting the psilocybin from the shrooms if you dislike eating something that touched shit. Also, what do you think your veggies grew in?

Well there's going to have to be some sort of energy source. It will probably work if you used corn and potatoes. Grains will work too, like rye, millet, bird seed...
