Underground Construction used to release good hard house tunes back in the day. I'll post up some decent stuff from the genre when I'm on the laptop later. I am not real familiar with it though.

How about a trance track done by an orchestra.
Armin van buuren - Communication (Orchestral version)
The original for reference.

There were a couple of big splashes of electronic classical in the late 60's and early 70's. In 1968 Walter Carlos (who later became Wendy Carlos) released "Switched On Bach", performed on the Moog synthesizer. It was one of the first classical recordings to sell a half million copies and reached #10 on the pop charts. In 1973 a Brazilian musician, Deodato did an electronic jazzy version of Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathustra". This song was already popular as the theme for Stanley Kubrick's film "2001 A Space Odyssey" (1968). The Deodato version was a big hit and reached #2 on the pop charts, and was later used in the late 70's film "Being There".

Good thread guys, here's a couple 5th Symphony Mixes. A few years ago I had these mixed into a super mix, unfortunately don't have the file anymore, was pretty slick mixed with an orchestral version of Beethoven's 5th to start:
Wolfgang gartner - Wolfgang's 5th symphony
^Sick song, has about a minute of building drum beat to start for mixing, so don't turn it off for repetitiveness at the beginning.

^Funk-ish version
==========================
Here's a couple songs I've made with some orchestral influence. Something I want to get better at, a bit basic and limited mostly to strings and (in a couple) cinematic drums. I'd like to get to a point where I can write full on orchestrations someday.
