hello! just asking if GPS coordinates are stored in EXIF data. have tried many times uploading images to different online EXIF data viewers but nothing...

Only if the device that recorded the image had GPS enabled when the image was taken, I suppose. And I also expect that some EXIF readers can't parse GPS data, but I'm not sure about that. Can you verify that: 1. GPS was enabled when the photos were taken? 2. The upload functionality/sites that you used don't strip the EXIF off of the file upon uploading? 3. The images haven't been processed in software that strips EXIF when saving?
2 & 3 can be checked by verifying that other EXIF data than GPS survive the upload to the sites as intended.

You can take pictures, open them up in say Gimp, copy and paste the whole image into a new one and save. No more incriminating EXIF data!

On windows you can also simply right click a picture->Properties->Details->Remove Properties and Personal Information->Select All->Ok.
