Habitat:Woods, growing out of rotten wood / soil mixture
Gills: Fawn, attached
Cap:About 3 inches in diameter, definite veil (very slippery / slimey.) Fawn brown, becoming very dark brown in center. Not conical, nearly flat on the top.
Spore print color: No spore print yet, just got today
Bruising:light blue on stem
Other information: Not a strong scent, sorry about the rough appearance - it fell and broke a little.

My apologies for the brevity - written on my phone

That's a big no on actives sir. The cap is way off, and the stem appears to be wrong for Cyanescens as well. Sorry.

What is the difference in stem?
Could it be any other variety aside from cyan?

For one the lack of bluing anywhere. Second the texture looks off to me.

The above is a cyan. As for any other active variety I'd say not to my knowledge. I'm probably wrong but agrocybe is what keeps popping in my head. I only really know PNW actives not inactives.

There is bluing all on the bottom of the stem. Texture may look off because it's a bit torn up? I will look at agocybe.

Wrong color of bruising. The moment you spot the blue bruising of a Psilocybe you will know.
Maybe

That is not blue staining - that is a purple coloration that is always there in that species. With Psilocybes, it gets more blue the more you damage it.
