Fruiting chamber improvement opinons

Hello all,
I am at the fruiting chamber stage and I am getting close to one week without seeing anything noticeable emerge yet.
Current setup: -20 Gallon all glass fish tank -The lid is a plexiglass and cardboard box (this is just used to keep the air from escaping and ensuring humidity is kept between 90%-100% -Temperatures range from 70F-79F (nighttime and daytime temps) -I air out the chamber twice a day -I should hit one week on Monday.
I am just a bit concerned that one of the 3 essential factors might be off or hindering growth (temp, light, humidity)
Any idea what I can do if anything to help? Or should I just be more patient?
This is the setup

I'd be more worried about FAE than light/humidity.
you can potentially suffocate your cakes and encourage serious contamination.
so yeah i would advise more than twice a day you "air out"
honestly i think you'd be better off putting fish or reptiles in your terrarium and build a SGFC from a plastic tote for like 10 bucks. the fish or reptiles may cost more

How do you expect that to maintain humidity? Perlite works by air running through it and dragging the water molecules up with it. causing humidity. Opening your chamber twice a day doesn't equal FAE.

Part 3.
In an SGFC you don't want to TRAP humidity, you want it to regulate itself.

Just go with the tote man, you've got this far why ruin your project. Search how to make a SGFC (Shotgun fruiting chamber). Plus you wont need the biggest tote. I made that mistake, got a huge one that could fit like 30 pf cakes+ when a mini would work just fine. Good luck with your first grow.

The size of the SGFC has little to no bearing on the project. the preparation is the key. 1/4" holes in a 2" grid pattern. 4-6" of Perlite raised 6-12" off the ground and 6-12" away from any walls. Personally i would avoid cardboard as if my life depended on it for a FC. cardboard is a fairly decent desiccant... Last thing i would want near something meant to maintain humidity.

Hey guys back again. So been busy with work so I couldn't make the SGFC but I just built it and ready to put the cakes in but I need some help on some questions.
1. Since the cakes haven't shown pinning after two weeks in the glass terr, are they dead? If not what can I do to ensure pinning?
2. I know sunlight is usually mentioned but is it truly necessary? I ask because other than perfect airflow (I still believe the airflow being provided was sufficient) I provided a 100% humidity environment and direct sunlight for at least 6hrs.
3. What is the perfect temperature to have fruiting take place. I can put it in a place that gets as hot as 79F or 50F. I have a feeling temp might be my issue but just my guess.
Pics included of cake that has been in FC for 2 weeks and the new SGFC that I am about to use.

Um, that's not a SGFC, no offense intended. Is there another piece to it your trying to create a SFGC type FC?

The lid is out of the pic right now. But i drilled holes all over 2in apart and the mesh screen is just to prevent the perilite from spilling out of the holes. Drilled them to big and the mesh screen is the same non-coated screen you find on sliding deck doors i got from homedepot so airflow should be unaffected.

Maybe it's the picture, it looks rather short for a SGFC

You need 5-12" of clearance from the bottom of your already 5" of perlite. Meaning you need at 10"+ tote.
That's way too small bruh. Your shrooms will have no room to grow or breathe and you'll lose humidity because it won't have any place to go except outside.

No. You can wait and build a proper SGFC. Part 3: roomvideos.com/BRF-Pf-Tek

How do you know it was 100% humidity? Cubensis doesn't like constant 100% humidity, it likes fluctuating temps just like in the wild. That's why we drill the holes we do, so air can come in and change the temperatures. You're replicating nature and mushrooms don't grow in a sealed off glass box with perlite at the bottom.
The perlite in your box was also useless, you might as well have sat them in there without it because there wasn't a sufficient amount and without air moving underneath to drag the water molecules up it's not a terrarium.
You should just watch all of these again: mushroomvideos.com/BRF-Pf-Tek

70-75.
If you're dropping to 50f at night for a few hours it'll be slower but it won't be impossible. If you can put it in a room where you can at least maintain the 60-75 area that's fine, a little hotter is okay but a little colder will take longer.

you really want a taller box but you can make that one work for now. get a bath towel get it wet wring it out fold it up t fit into that box put your cakes ontop change the towel every couple days till you can get a new taller box. Pinning comes mostly from FAE. I like 16" of height that way you can get 6" of perlite and still stack your cakes 2-3 high and leave enough room for fruit body's to grow.
