After we had that long stretch of cold I thought the mushroom season was over for sure, but luckily I kept some faith and found my first 2 liberty caps yesterday! I can't wait to go back out there and find some more! Happy Hunting everyone.

Libs grow in Oregon and parts of Washington until january mitchnast. Especially int he Willamette Valley of Central Oregon and from Eugene, Oregon tot he coastal areas from Florence to Astoria/hammond in the north west coast of Oregon.

yeah mitch, semie season isn't too far in in our area [well; the area i am accustomed to hunt for them in], so in the PNW they will be around for a while as long as this tetering brink of near frost stays tha way it is.

Sorry I don't have any pictures of them .I actually live in Canada in BC. With all the posts about the NW freeze, I thought there would be nothing for sure up here but there they were! I am going to go out tomorrow and maybe find enough to try them out!
