Buy one of these handy dandies .... (or ask your moms for one)
It's the third item, the "Seam Ripper" or Thread Ripper.

http://www.homesew.com/page147.html

I just took off a bunch of those small patches they put on Abercrombie and other fancy pants clothes. They work like a charm, easy and cheap, too.

Or, buy clothes you aren't paying 80% of the price for to have a Nike logo all over.

Well, Jr. I get my clothes from outlets, thrifts, friends, and family. You aren't always paying for advertising. If you've ever looked at the insides of A&F, or Banana R, everything is reinforced, double stiched, and made with durable fabrics. I've had the same pair of Tommy Hilfiger shorts since I was a Freshman in high school, that's about 7 years. I agree with what you're saying, but there is some reason behind the higher prices.

Way to call me junior. How condescending! Can't put up a discussion now.

On the more serious note, I have no idea what A&F or Banana R is.

Is it just me, or does buying brand name clothing, but ripping off the labels seem a little backwards to you? You're still giving them your money.

I guess maybe it'll help you fit into the cool punk or hippie anti-corporate crowd.

Sorry about the condescending tone, just joking with you!

Phluck ... I'll try that out. But, like I said ... I don't pay much for clothes.

Edit: A&F = Abercrombie and Ftich ... Banana R. = Banana Republic

This is my favorite shirt

http://www.illmitch.com/Store/Store.htm

I got the i sometimes punch and rap one but ironed the "illmitch.com" part so it smudged and just looked trippy. The shirt makes so little sense its hilarious. The illmitch site is genius i dunno weather its a joke or not.. but if its real... pure genius

Go through the orange yesterday

I watched intently for a while to both sides, infront of me and behind me.
I was impressed to learn there was another way to look... UP!
More impressive still was the fact that there were beautiful stars in this direction
Most amazing fact of all was the prospect of another direction when I was done with up. DOWN! Which, based on the feel through my toes would be a fine sandy beach!

yes, in essence you are a billboard. You can apply whatever implication you wish to this status. For me, this is a negative role. For you, it may be different. I'm not making any judgements on anyone's actions.

That is a good point though. I've got a sweet hoodie with some olde english font on it, that happens to have a logo on it. I guess I try to remove myself as much as possible from clothes as an outward expression of status. Why not buy a blue shirt and get you your homie to put some fancy graf on it. Why Ecko?

I enjoy clothes that don't fall apart the day after I get them. Not all epensive clothes last forever, and some cheap clothes do. But I find that the higher end clothes do last longer. But that doesn't mean you have to pay those prices. Outlets, defects (fix em'), thrifts, hand me downs.

As far as the whole balck and white goes, you're making your own statement. You say something no matter what you wear. Judging the merit of each is a waste of time.

i dont see why it matters.. so i have a shirt with a brand name on it. you'd be hard pressed to find any quality clothes that don't come with brand names on them. even cheap clothes have brand names [dickies.. i wear nothing but baggy dickies shorts/pants and it's really cheap, yet even dickies is a popular brand name. you cant get around it.]

well, its just with a label, your advertising the product you just paid money to buy.

But at the same time, hes advertising this product, so you can buy it, to get rid of advertising.

ironic eh?

Well, it seems to me that these days, it's pretty hard to buy clothes that don't have any logo. OK you can get plain T-shirts, but what about shoes? All shoes have the company logo on them nice and clear. I have nike shoes, but that's cause they were actually the cheapest ones in the store. Pants also have the logo on them somewhere.

Even though I am helping out a company by giving them my money, I would be helping them out even more after having bought the product by advertising for them. I might as well help them out as little as possible by riping off the logo.

BTW, myself and others wouldn't want to do it as a statement, where you can see the outline of the logo. I would prefer that you cannot see there ever was a logo there.
