Black spots sound like black pin mould.
Maybe the print was contaminated, or somthing was
of with your inoculation methods if it
shows up at the inoculation sites

hi

i think the problem was in the syringe.......

or the rice wasnt soaked enough to kill all germs in the sterilization so
bacteria endospores remained, and where mycel eated the outside of the rice, theese bacteria got free or something...

thanks, i hope it might be ok after all.looks like the mycel is overtaking the little black spots.

If the mycelium does make a comeback, be sure to check the center of one of your cakes after you birth it. I have seen cakes that looked just fine on the outside that were 100% green on the inside. I think the pictures are in the contam gallery on this site.

I've seen chunks of spores start out black and then grow into healthy mycelium. Are you sure the black spots weren't there from your original inoculation?
