Peeling and cutting potatoes sucks!
I'm already missing six fingers, so I have a HUGE fear of cutting the rest =\
Over the summer I had a spring (the hook from trampoline springs) ripped through my pinkey, that scared the hell outta me.

I've always enjoyed peeling potatoes. Are you trying to peel them with a knife or with a potato peeler? Make sure the potato peeler is left handed if you're left handed (the only time I've hated it is when I have to use right handed peelers, because I'm left handed). I think it's fun trying to get the biggest strips possible, and just making a carving out of your potato. But maybe I'm just easily amused... probably that...

i was born without them, i have 2 thumbs, an index finger on the left hand and a pinky on the right.
I had to use a knife.

wow I didn't know you don't have 10 fingers..
it will be nice to meet you in person. 
on a side note, is it hard to type on the keyboard. I personally have 10 fingers but I use only 5 to type.. I never learned right.

I think the normal human being has 10 fingers (unless I've been lied to all these years!!!), so thumbs have to count.

they might, but when there half of what ya gotya count em as fingers =P

Not really ive adapted, i do most of my typing with my indec finger, and the nub next to my pinky, and of course the pinky gets used a lot. Its prolly gonna end up in carple tunnel (sp?) a lot sooner then it would someone with all of em though =\
Then there are the various issues that arise with the nubs, the bone got infected in one of my fingers after i coought a lamp with the tip of it causing the bone to break the skin, i had one of thos PIC IV's (part of an IV you get put in bandaged up then you get to take it home and shoot up yourself.) for most of a winter.

What is it you do for a living? I'm just curious, cuz I know having being born like that would certianly limit your career range to an extent, so I was just wondering..

I had a good friend who only had a thumb and pinky on one hand. That summabitch could pinch like a frigging vise! I mean, literally squeeze flesh till it separated from your body without pulling.
