Polypores While Kayaking
    #21177444 - 01/26/15 01:29 AM (9 years, 3 months ago)

I enjoyed my weekend by camping out with family and kayaking down Telegraph Creek. Here are some shots from the adventure:

Trametes sp. (?)

Ganoderma sp. (?)
Growing on a live palm:

(?)
Growing on a (live) live oak limb, hanging over the creek:

It was a very beautiful paddle trail, I highly recommend it to any SW Floridians. The creek goes through an exotic animal farm, so you get to see camel, llama, alpaca, and zebras up close at the water's edge.
After a couple lots of rural properties, the creek leads into two different wildlife preserves and it's pure wilderness from then on. Great experience!

First is probably Trametes, hard to say from that photo alone. Second is Ganoderma zonatum and the last could be a few different things but probably Inonotus.

I did get some shots of the Llamas and Alpacas, but they aren't that great as I only had my phone's camera.
I didn't see the Camel until we paddled back, and I didn't see the Zebras at all :frown:, but I've heard many people talk about them.
