I dont have much of an opinion of the loss of OTD - I just hope the rules and the customs of the Pub are respected by the OTD immigrants :thumbup:

Shroomery made a big mistake by taking off OTD. The cultivation forums are just boring once you have mastered growing and the Pub just doesn't allow for some of the content that OTD had. I hope it comes back. I know im not the frequent of a poster but I myself will not be visiting the shroomery nearly as much without OTD and I think that will be the same for a great many other people. It really is a shame and to think it could be about money too.

It was not about money.
The reasons are quite varied, but most of it stems from the members not being able to control their behaviour to a reasonable level, attacking others in an obnoxious manner, the hogging of forum resources from post whoring, and generally acting like the immature children where they can behave however they want. The downward spiral of OTD was progressive and could have been contained if the members had kept themselves in check, but there had to be rediculous behaviour that went on and on.
OTD is not gone forever, it is taking a break, and hopefully when it returns everyone will be able to coexist without flaming everything in site. No one wants to take away free speech, we merely want to make it more friendly and a place where everyone has free speech, not just those who get off on treating others like shit. The limits were pushed further and further until the admins had no choice but to take action.
Hopefully this break will teach us all something important, and we can get back to OTD in the near future with a new outlook.
