1.4g dried allenii, absolute monster. It was in a cluster too in my cultivated patch. Cloooned them

I do a lot of indoor experiments. I, one day, WILL figure out a surefire method for indoor woodlovers. Nothing is impossible.

First three Ps. allenii, second three Ps. Cyanescens - some of my work

exactly- my point was that there is such a growth of mushy hobbyists that employees have taken notice mushroom guys keep coming back- same goes with where i get my rye

pretty nuts

The Chinese are on to us too. I bought this 4-tray dehydrator for 20 bucks at Salvation Army.

The shroom logo looks like common store-bought edible Button mushrooms, but why just 3 mushrooms?

Why not a mushroom, a bell pepper, and a cow? People dehydrate a lot of things.

I looked it up, it's 60 bucks new. But it dries 'em fucking cracker dry and it's quiet.
https://www.target.com/p/nutrichef-pkfd06-kitchen-countertop-electric-food-dehydrator-preserver-machine-with-adjustable-temperature-and-5-stackable-tray-racks/-/A-81788983

Mine is missing one of the racks, but it works with 1-4 racks that came with it. I'm only using one rack at a time until I clone the stuff I've grown.

Which dehydrator do you use?

My watt meter says this one uses 240 watts on high (how I run it). It gets them very dry in a few hours.

It ain't this, but it works, and it sure beats taking a week to "dry" them with silica gel like I used to do. :

I use a cheap $40 one but it does the job, and it has a knob setting instead of buttons which is why I chose it out of the heap of cheap dehydrators

I use a cuisinart for small amounts. Canelas 12 tray was good but is malfunctioning now. 160L weston is nice for multiple tubs at once.

Love it.

F5 of what? Those look a little like P-Nats. You didn't cross species, did you? (That's the holy grail of shrooms. has anyone even done it?)

Ooooohhhhhh.....

Don't you need snake venom for that? I know a guy.

Maybe not. They are the closest in that genus, according to A-Rock.

Might mix and produce sterile and need cloning, if animals are any indication. Some mammals can cross species and make a sterile offsring (like mule or ligers).

Isn't "mule" also a generic term for a cross-species offspring that's sterile?

New! NattyMules by fahtster.

I thought it as soon as I heard A-Rock say it was the closest species to cube. I guess we all did. ha ha.

P-Nat is to cube as bonobo chimp is to human.

Very interesting :takingnotes: and I didn’t know lions and tigers were different species, I thought they were all cats:shrug: I thought they could all fuck and make babies except for a hyena (which isn’t a cat, not even a dog, whole different species to which only one variety of hyena are the only members FYI

ha ha. I guess that makes sense if you've not looked into it or grown up on a farm like I did.

Cats are the genus (Felidae)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felidae

Lion, tiger, house cat, Bob Cat, etc, are each a species within the genus.

Cube shroom "strains" (more accurately "varieties" or "races") are like the difference between a Persian house cat, a British Short Hair, and a Maine Coon. They're all the same species and can produce fertile offspring. That in shrooms would be like Penis Envy, B+, X7X, etc.

Fun fact, there are house cat breeds and cube varieties both called "Burmese."

Some sketchy spore sellers used to claim that some of their spores were a cross between different species within the Psilocybe genus, but I don't think it's really been done yet.

It really would be the holy grail of all this.

Some non-sketchy people even thought that P-Nats were a cube variety until recently. Hell, the first post (from last year) on the currently hot P-Nat thread makes that assumption in the first post:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26414295/vc/1/nt/165

Might be possible between Psilocybe cubensis and Psilocybe natalensis.

A-Rock said the recent sequencing of P-Nat puts them closest to cubes of any psilocybe genus shrooms.

I'm guessing if they can get crossed, you might have to propagate tissue via cloning rather than spores, but I don't know. Probably no one knows yet.

But if anyone can do it, I'm betting on fahtster.

(Let's take replies over to the P-Nat thread before we get spanked as hijackers)
