Treating my ps. subsecotioides like the holy grail lol. Looped my swab to a couple plates tonight to preserve the swab for future bungles. Mite be a functional plan...
Dug out my quebecensis LC for context photos for the grow log I'm FINALLY working on tonight...

My fish bowl grow is producing something. Was just using up a spare BRF cake I had, spawned to CVG 1:1 with a thin pseudo-casing. It's meant to be nepali but rumor has it the guy who sent out these spores was just making up the labels he put on stuff. So who know. It's cubes.

I make lcs in media bottles with the vent caps no problem. I usually cling wrap the neck to be safe though.
These look like garbage but I’m surprised it’s doing anything. It’s been sitting in room temp for 2.5 months doing nothing until I put it in the fridge about a week ago.

That guy was seriously lucky I think. Zooming in it looks like that fish either didn’t have any fins/spikes around the middle of his back or he at least had them laid down when he started his swimming escape routine. You can see a fin towards the back but the fish had forward momentum by then and it’s possible the spikes just got pushed back down along his back. If that fish had had stiffened spines against the soft throat skin when he started flipping out that guy would’ve gotten like 60 itchy fever pokes at least.
I used to work on a charter boat and my hands were constantly infected and swollen all over. Never from any serious thing, just little pokes to the side of a finger or three, each poked finger would then swell a bit and kinda itch and feel very tight at the skin whenever I curled into a fist.
Fish are dirty as hell, a fellow mate was working one day in sandals and accidentally kicked right into a fish spine. His foot got all gross and he almost died in the hospital like 2-3 weeks later. They were pumping him full of antibiotics n stuff.
Anyone know what that fish is? It looks like a giant white perch a little, but not quite.

The light malt extract powder arrived and I whipped up a batch of plates last night. This morning I went to check on how they turned out. A bunch of them are too... frothy, bubbly so I will have to refrain from shaking the bottle next time. Regardless I have plenty of good plates to work with I assume.
Conveniently found a fruit growing out from agar, it was the monster shroom I tried to salvage. Perfect timing , so I picked up the little dude and split him in half and put him on my new agar mix.
I should have snapped a pic of the in vitro pin but I was too excited to transfer it!

One of the jars from my SSLC write up. I never actually spawned those jars cause I only made them for the write up and had 0 space for anymore tubs. I musta forgot this one while cleaning out the jars to be reused

Do you find it easy with the hood at the side like that? I work with mine directly in front but I feel that kind of set up you have there could actually be more comfortable....if that makes sense that is...
