The absolute beginning for me. Preparing for my fist grow ever. SAB and water tub build.

Is this just used to harvest, or used to remove substrate to rehydrate. Possibly speaking out of my ass again.

Again I'm not sure if this is right for this thread, but it's part of my cultivation process so far. My last post was of my SAB build.
This tent fits my space pretty good. It required some adjustment to get what I think everybody likes to have a tight fit. I need to make modifications to my rack so it will fit properly. Probably with a Dremel. Then zip ties or JB weld or both. I'm not sure about the bottom liner.

I use those tents for my herb grows, be careful, the reflective coating starts to peel after a while especially if there is moisture present🙏 Nice set up though🍺
Any peeling could be repaired with aluminum tape. Maybe
Also. Thanks for the link Hillbilly

My first grain jars in 14 years. The first ones were B+ on WBS. I don't remember why I didn't fruit it at the time, but that is history now. I have put these jars in the fridge in hopes to stall the growth while I finish my new SAB. I quickly found out that my previous one was way too small to spawn my sawdust bags. I face physical, medical, and mental challenges in completing my tasks. I hope to overcome these hurdles quickly.
I took pics of the areas that I thought may be problematic. These were inoculated on 7/10. I clearly ignored them too long. I thought the would take much longer to fully colonate. I put them in the fridge today 8/06 Your opinions and advice is always welcome. Please be kind.

With fully colonized jars (bacterial health aside), you no longer need to work in a SAB. At this point in the process you spawn to open air. Usually mixed up with coir/verm. I follow bods bucket tek (basically I put 900g coir, 3 quarts of verm, and 5000mL boiling hot water into an insulated cooler and wait 12-24 hours). Then mix whatever ratio of that I want with my spawn. You'll get some fruits and can clone/go to agar from there!
These are blue oyster mushrooms. I'll be using bags with 50/50 oak and soy hull (masters mix) in sawdust blocks. My concern is contaminating the sawdust.

also if youre gonna ask about gourmets species the gourmet board is a better place,
At the very least identify what it is because oyster spawn looks incredibly different from cubes and you might get bad advice.
Thank you Aye. Protocal is not my strong suit.

I made some LC in 100 ml vials. I was told that this is not for a beginner. So I decided to say fuck it and jump into the deep end. I did cheat and use the powdered nutrient mix. These are my results after 5 days.

Blue Oyster

Portobello
These 2 I worry about. I know I used to much of the powder in my mix, but these didn't take off like the others. The others did have the brown spots on them at first. I'm hoping that it's just the extra nutrient powder. Hope I didn't screw them up.

B+

Shitake
