My first galindoi pin showed up today.

1 quart of rye grain cased with 50/50. Fruited immediately in a mini-mono and this little guy popped up 6 days later.
Hoping to get a few usable prints off this mono. Anything else is just a bonus.
I've been enjoying all the great pics on this thread. Keep 'em coming!

Here is a pic of the sterlite 1872 I used.

The dimensions are 10 1/2" L x 7 7/8" W x 7" H
The holes are a little smaller than a 1/2" with two near the sub and two near the top. All stuffed with poly.
It's not going to win any contests for yield, but it looks like it might get the job done for prints.
I've done some minor misting and fanning, although I probably could have just left it alone.

I don't have a grow log on here, but I have been documenting the grow in my own notes. I might try and put something together when I finish.

Adept - Where did you get that perforated covering for that presto rack? Seems like it would be a great way to prevent the mushrooms from falling through as they dry.

Kind of looks like early reishi growth:

I don't doubt that it might be mycogone like you guys have suggested, but is there any harm with letting that go just to see if they are blobs? Aren't PE known to produce mutants?

A couple pics from some recent projects.
Although these GTs ended up maturing small, they were fruited in the low 60s so they were pretty dense.

This is a forgotten tamp plate that has produced this one large mushroom. I cut a piece of the mushroom and transferred it to a new plate. I'm hoping for good fruiting genetics.

Some pretty spore deposits on the top of an Ecuador cube. Kind of reminded me of cinnamon toast.

Nice Reishi Subnet. How long have you had that tub going? What's the sub?

Reishi in mini-mono. Sub is fuel pellets and gypsum. Approximately 2-3 weeks in fruiting conditions. Really digging the color on some of these.

Awesome Munchausen!
I just put a 6 year old Texan print to agar. I hope I have the same luck as you.

B+ shoebox hopefully ready to takeoff soon. I did a good job avoiding side/bottom pins in this one. I’ve had to mist upwards of two times per day since my environment seems to be evaporating the moisture beads very quickly.

Add me to the list of the sticky SFD skeptics.
I had a stretch of trich that I was driving myself crazy over since the agar was looking good and my control plates in front of my hood were coming back clean.
I can’t say with certainty that the SFDs were letting anything through, but I’m about to go back to polyfill for a little bit to see if I notice anything.

In my case I’m using millet and when I switched to the stickers, my top grains always seemed to be dryer or not as completely colonized as the rest of the jar.
I suspected that at spawning, those grains might have picked something up and contaminated. The jars looked and smelled fine.
I figure going back to poly can’t hurt since I had a ton of success with it previously. I’ll up my PC time to 2 hours to be safe. (Currently 90mm @15).
The doubling idea is interesting too…

MS B+ shoebox. I have a feeling these are gonna max out at about 2-3” tall.
Hopefully get some bigger ones out of the second flush.

what mushroom is that in the second pic? those are beautiful and look like that pic of Malabar
Those were golden teachers. The veils hung on when they flattened out like malabar is said to. I have never tried malabar, but I always loved the pics as well.

Stealth Easier than fruiting More weight than fruits Single container Novelty No set schedule on harvesting
The nice thing about the sclerotia forming types are that they give you the flexibility to do both. You don’t even really need to make your mind up from the start about what path you’ll take. It’s fun to fruit them, but the stones have their own merits as well.
