My first contam on a cake ?
    #21169642 - 01/24/15 12:39 AM (9 years, 3 months ago)

damn all my 12 cakes were flawless

the one jar that was taking forever to colonize finally got to 100% but yet the jar had early pins

cake looked pure white for the most part

I didnt bother to dunk and roll this one instead I heavily misted it and placed it inside the FC along with my other good cakes

now 4 days later this is all that I see

Looks like a low rh problem but more important not enough consolidation which can lead to those blobs.

It's just a mutated fruitbody.

Perfectly safe to keep in there

pick it off and dry it out. It is safe to eat and some say stronger than true mushrooms. But I would bet that isnt true. They are safe. The color is odd. Maybe bruising. Will the color wipe off onto your finger? Does the color appear to be mold spores

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
