What is this instrument?

Bought it from a guy on craigslist today. He doesn't know either. Looks like there might have been two strings on the lower part. The arm thing might be a moving slide for lower strings. No brand name or anything other than series number. Sounds cool, whatever the hell it is. Anyone have an idea?

Actually its more closely related to a zither. Click on 'ah ha' in the post above for a link to the instrument. It's a Hawaiian tremoloa. Not Hawaiian at all though.

Where can it be found? I have to repair the instrument a bit. It's so out of tune and needs some additional components.

Call up Kelly, the owner of Action Sound in east Texas. The dude is an absolute BOSS at fixing instruments and people mail him stuff from across the country to fix. 903-769-5262. I don't really know the guy, just been in his shop a few times. VERY passionate about musical instrument fixing and he knows all the players. He can almost certainly construct whatever or add on whatever that needs to be done and loves strange projects. In his words, an old artifact instrument like that deserves to be played. If he can't fix it, he will know who can. Cool instrument, good luck!
