RR, even though I learned to grow through other videos/books and not your epic LETS GROW MUSHROOMS videos, and you act holier-than-thou at times, I have a lot of respect for you and your knowledge. I am truly sorry for your loss.
I know exactly what you are feeling. I lost my big brother when I was 16, and it fucked me up good. But I promise you this...TIME WILL HEAL YOU.
That is my fucking promise.
Keep chugging man.

Have to give it to him, , would not be where i am without him. He laid it out for y'all to play it out and did it in style. NOW Let's show him what we got! Don't think i coulda stuck it out if it wasn't for his abilty to shed light on such a lost soul. Truly inspiring and a great role model for our community. Was the only one i could trust coming into the mystical gun slinging gauntlet of information and experience. He made deciphering over a decade of evolving ideas and practice an ease and set straight my somewhat extremely ignorant situation and way of thinking. It's hard to argue with experience in this hobby and I think he;s got all of us beat there. He taught us how to walk now it's up to you to get running and accept the torch . AS matter of fact as you can get and no ego in the way. This forum has been an amazing experience and we owe that and endless appreciation to him. I accept his gift with gratitude and will do my part to uphold the tremendous foundation we have here. just wouldn't be the same without him. somehow he kept this big looney bin of a jungle afloat and got all of us animals in the same ship on a journey to the stars. That is a gawdly accomplishment in my bible, don't think we'll see a prophet of his caliber again.

Thank you for your time and knowledge RR, it's sad to see ya go and I hope you at least stop back in on occasion to let us know how things are going.
I honestly can not thank you enough, if it wasn't for people like you and the OP I probably never would've had a successful grow and never got to experience to magic of growing these precious things for myself.
I enjoyed tripping and all that, but cultivating them myself added so much to my experiences , and I really grew to love cultivating, possibly even more than actually tripping.

Fucking hilarious quote!!
RR, thank you for being such an important beacon of information in this community. I know when I first started reading the Mush. Cult forum all the way back when I was 18 your posts were always awe-inspiring to me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has looked up to you in respect. You have played an important role in this community few others could hope to live up too.
And looking at that picture of the holy bible overgrown with shrooms never gets old.
May the light be with you in these dark times.

Roger rabbit saw my unicycle in the background of a picture during my first year of mycology. He made some joke that really gave me the energy to dive deeper into mycology. I'm going pretty good at it now years later

RR,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Your wife was very lucky to have someone so dedicated to helping her throughout her battle. I am certain nothing anyone says can have much impact at the moment as you are grieving, but I doubt she would've fought as long and hard as she did without you by her side. I hope you can somehow take pride and happiness in that fact that you meant as much to her as she meant to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss RR. It is a terrible thing. Nothing that I write will change it. I'm so sorry.
What you have done for this community is truly amazing though. Wherever life takes you from here, remember that you have thousands of people (my self included) that are graciously in debt to you for the knowledge that you shared. Good luck with everything as time moves forward.

Understanding and symphathy to your situation RR. The effort that you put into your wife's treatment speaks a lot of your character. Hope to see you around in the future but also that you find peace.

After years of learning from the Shroomery, I'm honored to make my first post a thank you to the one who has made everything possible for me.
Thank you RR. With the help of this forum and you in particular, my first grow, three cased PE monotubs, has already produced several ounces with many more to come. You have brought real joy to myself and many many people all over the world. I will always carry a deep respect for you and your story.

My thoughts are with you, RR.
Condolences for your loss. You will forever remain an invaluable asset to the mycology community.
Best of luck to you, until you find your way back to your wife one day...may your journey be peaceful.

The ability to be loved completely, in an open hearted way is completely dependent upon one's willingness to be completely and utterly devastated. You can't have one without the other. (quote from someone who I've forgotten.)
My appreciation for mushrooms comes from you. It's a practice that put me in touch with the life-cycle. It was you that I watched in videos and it was your posts that I read here on the site. When I first set up an account her, you threatened to ban me on my second post (I didnt' know what I was doing). You helped me with a jerk who sent some rude private messages. And you helped me pick out a heppa filter. You are a generous, if not cranky person from time to time, and that generosity is so beautiful. You gave your wife something to live for, too. She was made whole by you too.
I can't imagine how hard this is. Keep breathing, like the trees.
