Any real benefit to an Organic grain medium?
    #2114422 - 11/17/03 04:18 AM (13 years, 22 days ago)

I was looking for some Pennington brand Finch Seed (simply preference) at my local Walmart and they did not have any in stock. While searching online I was able to find it as well as some Organic Millet Seed. As most know, the Pennington finch food contains white millet, red millet, niger seed, sunflower chips, peanut hearts and canary grass seed. Price not being an issue, which of these would work out better - pro's and con's? The species this will be supporting is Panaeolus cyan.

Thank you for your time and consideration. All comments and discussion are welcome.

I don't really see a benefit to organic grain unless you've had problems with an untested brand of grain and don't know why.

Assuming you don't simply want to support the organic movement, or care about the environment, your world, or untested mutagenic effects of biologically engineered or chemically treated foods.

PM me with any cultivation questions.

I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

why would most know what penningtons contains? I don't believe it's the preferred brand, I know I use pure millet from a feed store.

I was planning on using the Penningtons finch food , but am thinking about using a mix of 75% organic millet seed and 25% organic rye grain instead. Just wanted some feedback that's all.
