Those are basidia, commonly they hold four spores and have four corresponding nipples but because this species has two spored basidia (hence bisporus) it looks like they lack thise nipples.

Good job on this grow, if you have any extra prints I'd love to scope one!

Those are actually metuloids, aka metuloid cystidia.

Ohh that explains the lack of nipples, thank you for the correction.

First off Micomattie, THANKS! what a firework show. Loved your stuff and thanks so so so much for sharing. I bow.

I have had my eyes peeled just begging, waiting for someone to be another witness to the awesomeness of this mushroom. The fact that this particular strain had come from Colville Wa, 2010 and has been seen to survive in that same lawn for at least three to four consecutive years, despite the frozen earth and heavy winters aught to tell us something very special about this mushroom.

So what does that tell us? well it tells us that this is a Viking strain of tropical copelandia, that it is advantageous enough to find not only one home but two separate homes within 1 hour of each other, and both in areas that have several months of frozen ground and heavy winters, Eastern Washington!

It also tells us that everyone should have their lawn become a symbiotic mycorrhizal host to these bad boys, by putting liquid cultures on sprouting grass seeds with which will be spread in every lawn and community in the country, not only their own : ) my little vision of topia...

Personally, and not just because I found them, to me they are the most potent, beautiful, kick your but blue from the substrate, mushroom on this dang planet.

Sorry for the ramble, good job! thanks again!

Frizzie/Subbs

Thank YOU!

I'm definitely going to experiment further with this mushroom - especially now that the weather is getting better!
