Lol. I hear you. I've tasted many many times. It's just always been carryout. I'm looking for a home cooked meal. I meant they are for personal use and I don't mind growing again if it's cheap and easy with the all in one bag. I ordered one so guess I'll find out soon enough.

Not sure about the yield just yet because mine are just about to go into fruiting conditions. I has purchased a bunch of other stuff from Out-Grow and came across these bags, so I decided to try out a few. It's a good deal of substrate in the bag. So I'll be happy with an ounce per bag but I have a feeling it might be more. I would think you could at least get an ounce minimum between two flushes but chances are much more. I'll update in a week or two and post pics of the results. I just did a bunch of 6 quart shoeboxes with 1 quart spawn to 2.5 quarts coir/verm, so 3.5 quarts total, and the minimum one did an ounce dry and one was 1.75 ounces dry. These bags hold at least that much substrate so I'm just guessing, but I would think the yield would be similar. Sorry I don't have any solid numbers on them yet, but I'll post as soon as they fruit.

Awesome man! That sounds great. Do you just fruit in the bag? I'll probably hit you up once mine gets here and get some pointers. It sounds like even I couldn't fuck one of these bags up! Lol

Try the mycobags and grow all in one bag. Way less chance for contams if you fruit invitro

Pics of blocks taken from bags of manure/straw/ rye berries in my new green house( big lots 29.99 or harbor frieght)

://files.shroomery.org/files/15-003/113352568-image.jpg] [/url] bags at 70% b4 shake.
Front view of bag. You can see the layers of eye at bottom, straw in the middle, and manure on top getting ripped through by mycelium.
 Bag at the beginning.
And just for fun a mutant that grew upside down cap first, then a tiny stalk, then the cap opened. All this took place upside down. Thinking of cloning it to see if I can get a bed of all upside down growing mushrooms! But guys at AMU think it may be more environmental that genetic. I thought it might be really rare but they say it does happen every once in a while. I would order some bags from mike at out-grow and give them a try. I recently checked my notes and there pinning 5 weeks from inoculation. I colonized at pretty low room temps of 68-71 so I'm sure if you put them in TIT to incubate at higher temps they would colonize much faster. I didn't want to rush them and chance any kind of contams. They love those higher temps although as long as there's nothing in the bag I would think they would be just fine at higher temps. I plan on experimenting with them quite a bit depending on this first yield. I'll keep you posted. Good luck!

Looks awesome man. I inoculated my bag this weekend. So when you say shake it up at %70 you mean when 70 pct of the rye is colonized or wait till the manure is colonized?
I'll probably take mine out of the bag to fruit as well. I finally started getting pins on my cakes too!

Ive never even thought an upside down mushroom was possible.

So bizarre.

Thats pretty awesome, wouldnt eat away at the other mushroom tho as a source of nutrient, and defeat the purpose besides seeing a cool mushroom grow?

Yeah i've never seen that either. Are you sure that didn't get pushed out by another and fall over or something?

That's AWESOME! Glad your getting pins on the cakes now! Can't wait to see the pics when there ready for harvest.
Yeah about the rye, I waited until the rye was 70-75% colonized b4 the shake. Make sure that the bottom is mostly all finished and there's a good amount growing on all 6 sides then give it a really good massage. Make sure to get the straw really even throughout along with the rye spread evenly through the manure.
Oh and be careful with the straw when massaging the bag. There were a few times when I felt like the straw might puncture the bag if your not gentle. Probably wouldn't happen but be careful all the same.
The bags took two to three days to recover then the took off like wildfire!! Mine are starting to pin nicely on all sides except the bottom.
One bag is pining much faster than the other but there doing ok I guess for MS. Very curious to see the overall yield when there complete.
Congrats on your new pins may the all fruit large!
