Need links for meditation and breathing techniques.
    #2112438 - 11/16/03 08:37 PM (13 years, 10 months ago)

Hello all, this is my first time posting in this area. Anyway, i'm looking for links to texts on learning to meditate and breathing techniques to calm the body and the soul. I've read some stuff but some of it is just too hard for me to follow. All replies welcome. I hope this is the right area of the forums for this questions. Thanks.

I reccomend the book "The Journey of Awakening" by Ram Dass. It is an excellent hand book and can be had for a few bucks on Amazon Used Books.

Also, "The Science of Breath" by Yogi Ramacharaka is an awesome handbook for breathing techniques, and can also be found cheap on Amazon.

Hope that helps! Good luck and peace!

I've tried google but a lot of the stuff i've found needs deeper understandings of easter religion. Is it possible for me to learn meditation and breathing techniques without studying eastern religions? Anyone know of some free texts for the complete newbie? Thanks to all replies.

I could use this, seeing as how i find myself not breathing sometimes, and then feeling really anxious because of it
