That's a very simplistic outlook, I would of had no problem with them fighting a war like it should be fought, but instead they tried to win a war the politically correct way and that's a sure loser.

If you invade a foreign land, you conquer it, you don't play games.

I'm talking about sending our soldiers on dangerous night patrols into areas full of snipers and road bombs on a daily basis, they were getting killed and wounded on these stupid missions.

Or how about going door to door looking for "terrorists" in some of the cities full of snipers, do you think they put up with getting picked off by snipers in world war 2 if they didn't have to?  They would pull out and then bomb the shit out of the area, it's called war for a reason.

what should we do over here? let them take and plunder with honor? any way you cut it, it's all a torn curtain.

Amazing that people will justify close to a million deaths by saying "well we left the country in a marginally better, politically vacuous, state. Mission accomplished."

Seriously? Let's kill millions of Russians so some opportunist can fill the void that Putin leaves, then. Our intervention in Iraq is a clear cut failure. The only thing you can hang your hat on is that Saddam is gone, as if he was some sort of ant queen controlling the minds of every single one of his subjects. No, instead the Baathists that we didn't kill ran off and joined ISIS. Success.

Think about it like this: If someone (with the hypothetical military strength) invaded the United States to depose Obama, let's say for drone striking thousands of innocent people in their country, our military isn't going to stand by. Because they're not invading Obama, they're invading America. So we engage with them, millions of Americans die, mostly innocents, many due to medical and food blockades, but that nation's military is far too advanced and persistent, so eventually after a decade they topple Obama. Knock over his statue around a crowd of cheering tea party supporters. Success.

Now, what changes in American politics? Is Wall Street shutting down shop? Is Koch Industries gonna switch to algae fuel? Hell to the naw, all the mechanisms would largely still be in place. The only difference is a giant vaccum of socially accepted power structures. Just like we see in Iraq.

I said oil was a factor for going to war, if you're going to start a war at least try to win it, don't fight it with your hands tied behind your back.  There is no victory in Iraq, a huge waste of resources for the US.

Also, you misquoted me on the above photos, I never made comment on it.

What million people and who is doing all the killing?

Between 2003 and 2013, the death toll is estimated at 500,000.

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/4102855

It's safe to say that since 1991 close to a million people have died as a result of our wars with Iraq. As far as who is doing the killing. practically everybody. Coalition forces, rebels, ISIS, Saddam, tribal groups, gangs, etc. The point is that our interventions played a dominant role in shaping Iraq today, and it's arguably no better off. We took the bullet out of the gun but left the gun. So, yes, I'm amazed people justify a million human deaths by hanging their hat on "at least Saddam is dead," because it hasn't made the country any safer.

Can we skip the part where civilians and blockades don't count, and you can just address the actual points of my post?

As usual you are making shit up

https://www.iraqbodycount.org/

130,000 to 150,000, total including combatants 209,000, the vast majority of which are not due to American actions.

Piss off.
