some invitro growing questions

Well I'm thinking about doing a invitro grow using the pf tek method in half pint jars. My first question is at what point during the process should I expose to sunlight? And how much needed per day? Once inoculated should I tamper with the jars at all? Such as openingIit for gas exchange or anything? Should I dunk them after a certain flush? And any other advice would be great. Thanks guys.

Also..once the cakes are colonized should i transfer them to like 1 pint jars to give them a bit of space when growing the first flush?

Invitro pf-tek? You mean letting the cakes side-pin in the jars? Yields are low, birthing and harvesting is a pain, and the sides of the pins will have vermiculite embedded into them. PF-tek is already a relatively poor way to grow, so doing it that way might be the worst way to grow.
If you're interested in a method to grow invitro nicely without any fruiting chamber, one that's easy with strong yields that are easy to harvest (not to mention some good potency), try this: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/19035268#19035268 Grass seed 1/4 loaded in quart screw-top containers is the easiest, simplest, most assured invitro grow. Fairly quick too.
Edit... oh you're not necessarily leaving them to 'fruit' in their original jars. You could transfer them to another container, sure, it would work okay. You'd have to get a sense of how much/little air exchange the container would need to retain ideal humidity while still having healthy growth.

when I did transfer the cakes to a bigger jar should I put anything else in there with it? Or just put the cake in there and let it sit on the bottom?

Just let it sit in there. You can add a bit of water when fruits start growing, or maybe if you have humidity trouble.

how much water would I need to put in there? And should I pour it on top of the cake or on the side?
