Daydreaming is something I think everyone does, but it can definitely be a positive or a negative thing. You can see it as thinking about your goals and encouraging you to work hard in order to reach them, but you can also easily get caught thinking about realistic or unrealistic situations that can make you pretty upset. It's all in your perspective really. I find myself daydreaming all the time, but I'm not the most joyous person all around. I don't think that is because of the daydreaming though.

I do a lot of day dreaming, that is generally what I have been doing non-stop the past 4 or 5 months. I get into communication with others inside my mind though, on top of normal day dreaming.

I think it is healthy to a certain point, but you need to be able to come back to reality so you don't get stuck. I tend to get into a lot of trouble when I go into my non-stop day dreaming because reality around me starts to merge with my dreams. It can get really fuckin weird, and this is usually when I start to think other people are talking about my thoughts around me.

Getting lost in the mind is a constant thing I deal with and doctors say I am schizophrenic, but that is just a label for people like me.

I agree, doctors like to label symptoms that were considered normal in the past. Once they diagnose u with some bullshit disorder they can drug u up. Pretty soon everyone is gonna be drugged up on useless medication.

I daydream all the time, driving, working (if its not engaging), walking, waiting for something. I think its a lot more negative to not constantly have something running through your mind. Boring is a huge social handicap.

I started meditating a little over a year ago and it puts my mind in this deep dreamy trance. it's hard to explain but it's almost like being in a dream but also being very subtly aware of your breathing.

I find it so much fun to be in that trance state, especially with Vipassana meditation. It puts your imagination on pretend-mode. I can do that stuff for hours at a time because it's so damn fun, I just wish my back wouldn't get so sore.

Just heard about a study claiming that 'boredom' boosts 'creativity'.
Might explain the conformity online from addicitive internet use...
Also, if you're daydreaming so much that it's 'maladaptive'...

When I meditate lying down I always end up falling asleep.

I like the traditional style of sitting legs crossed and back straight.
