What to do with this
    #2111686 - 11/16/03 03:59 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

I have this one jar, its been colonizing for probably a little over a month, im not sure though it may be less. It started out very fast but then slowed down a lot as the weather has gotten colder. It is about 60 to 70 percent colonized right now. It just seems to be going very slow lately, the temperature in my house is like low 70s these days. I was just wondering if i need to use this little heater i have to get my room more like 75-80 and that would help it colonize faster. I'm wanting to get into the birthing stage so i wanna get this thing fully colonized. Any input would be great, peace.

Wide temp fluctuations will stall jars badly

So, would it be better to have the temp stay the same but lower, than to be most of the time a little warmer but sometimes like at night a little colder?

Anytime you have a big temp swing it will stall colonization badly

Ok, is alright if the temp is teetering between 75 and 80 though? With this little heater i dont think i can get it to be the exact same all the time.

Doesn't really matter. Try to get it somewhere around 80 -- higher temps just make it colonize faster.
