Please look at these oat jars... have a question.

Hello Shroomery,
This is my 1st time using oats for grains.
It is somewhat difficult to tell how far along these have colonized.
They appear covered in myc. But can see through the myc. and still see the oat hulls.
With the WBS it seemed very easy to tell. But with the light colored oats with hulls, it is hard for me to tell just how far along they are. It seems they should be getting by now. These particular ones were given 1st shake several days go.
It looks as if the hulls are not completely covering in myc. and I wonder if they actually ever will totally cover. For all I know the inside may be totally colonized.
I guess my questions are:
Will these jars eventually turn into a solid white mass like the WBS does? Or will they look similar to these when they are ready?
I shook one again, and it was definitely one solid chunk. (like when WBS is fully colonized).
Would surely already have to knock them on a tire or phone book to get the grains broke up. But not as dense as my past WBS jars.
Thanks in advance for any info... I appreciate it!
Ignore the date on the tape.... from an older project.

I would let them colonize more, looks odd to me but I never worked with oats.

Thanks Bodhisatta,
Yea they do look different. And yes, I am pretty sure it is because they are oats with the hull.
I guess I'll wait and see what others, who have tried them have to say about their experiences with oats.

Here's what my oats look like when colonized.

The myc does seem to be a little thinner with oats. Yours does look kind of funky though.

Are your close to fully colonized?

Other than the temps of the room dropping, causing some condensation, they look to be healthy to me.
The dark spots in a few of the jars was stems in the oats I didn't catch before loading the jars to PC.
I hope looking "funky" doesn't mean there is something wrong with them.
Guess I'll have to wait and see.
Maybe do some small test trays on a couple jars before getting too carried away and using several jars per tub spawning to bulk.
