i went to go shake my rye grass seed today u can see nice healthy mycelium growth but i cant seem to shake the rye off of the bottom sides (bend) and that is where most of the growth is. dose this mean its too dry or maybe even wet or is this normal
p.s i banged the shit out of this jar, lucky it didn't crack
i heard some one say they put a lil rice into the rye grass seed to make it more shake able. how much rice and dose this change the water amount u need to put in

i dunno, but i have found banging it against the palm of your hand works to get the stuck kernels moving.

white-rabbit, leave it, it is nothing to worry about. the reason for shaking is to redistribute the mycellium and get it to places where there might be a lot of substrate but no mycellium, hence speeding up the process of colonization. The stuff on the bottom is already colonized so its good to go:) When you case, you will just use the spoon to get it off of the bottom. puggy

Beat it against a fully inflated tire. If it won't break up that way, it probably has bacteria contamination.
