Has anyone read it? If you have, have you incorperated any of it into your life? If you havn't... it's probably not time for you to read it yet.
It definately helped me put some things into perspective.

I heard about it years ago, but it was thru an article i read in a magazine about the actual author, who used to be like some hard core rocker in a rock band called Iron Butterfly or something, and then alla the sudden, he turned into a computer geekoid, and rumors started spreading that he discovered some huge secret that had to do with mathematical equations and scientific computer weird shit that had to do with time or SOMETHING along those lines...and then he died very suspiciously, after that certain rumor went on around...his van fell off a cliff, or some shit...but the way it looked was very suspicious....people who were close to him said that he KNEW something, he had SOME kinda secret and was always working with his PC doing calculations all night long and shit...but yea..the book looks good too...I'll hafta check it out...

hehe.. yeah I tried to read it. Too hard though. Worst writing I've ever read. Kind of a spirituality for dummies.

Just because something is fiction does not mean it can't contain important ideas or lessons. To say a book has no real value because it is fiction is very narrow minded imho.
I read both of the books and liked them. I can't say I have realy incorporated them into my everyday life but they were in inportant step in my spiritual development.

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

its definately not the end all, but it is one of the most cleverly insightful books i've ever read. i have also incorperated philosoophy from sci-fi and fantasy novels into my working philosophy, not only that, but from non-fiction, religious works, music, conversations, visual art, real life experience, dream experience, internet websites and BBSs, theater, this that and the other. i do not descriminate. everything has truth. every experience a lesson. life as a practice.

Would you read a travel guide to Spain before visiting, by someone who had never even been to Europe? What the author wrote might be correct and might have value, but so what?

No, but with so many arguements and so many individual experiences to pass judgement on, for someone to explain their belief system for people to pass their OWN judgement on in a creative way that is at the very least somewhat entertaining. Sure the writing wasn't an articulate masterpiece but not every one is grammatical genious (sp?) - the point is, the author lets you look at things from a different perspective. It accompanies the whole 'aura' idea, and as skeptic as you may be, chinese traditions older than american history (notice de-capitalisation) alone should be enough for you to not only take this author's works with a grain of salt, but a touch of openmindedness.

besides anyone can learn to see auras ^_^! It's just another layer of visual awareness. You can't really look directly at it (unless you have developed it far, or have abnormally sensitive sight), because it is very subtle (use your rods!). It takes exercising your awareness of peripheral vision and exercising stillness of the eye. Your will see it eventually if you use the sharpest part of your lens while leaving the aperture open to gather stimuli.
