Ambient is my favorite genre, i made a thread a long time ago but it died quickly. glad to see there are more people out there that dig this genre now.
as for songs and albums... i'll drop this one in the thread for now.
"Mist" by Thom Brennan
this one is DOPE yo! there is an tremendous amount of depth to this album, and it's awesome how the sounds seem to project and move around in your headspace. Enjoy!!

Absolutely gorgeous! Sorry I didn't see your thread, I certainly would've dug it up had I seen it, pretty sure I did a search, but maybe not. Anyways, sorry about that. Can you give us a link, or will you just migrate the songs over here? Either way, can't wait to check out new ambient drone..
If you all ever get the chance to buy an album from the Hypnos label, snatch it up!
Viridian Sun - Solan Solar N Sol (Takes a good minute to get moving, glacial ambient)

check it out, the whole album obviously flow into one song from the next... i'm sure you can get it online, because the CD is probably so obscured, i'm sure some FLAC site has it.
it's awesome.
and here is some React by Ian Boddy and Robert Rich (so yummy)

Isolationism, drone, arctic, glacial there's a few good terms used.
I don't usually go in for New Age stuff, but this is an exception.
Bill Douglas ~ Evening Star
Bill Douglas ~ Deep Peace
And some super blissed out bells, for exstatic acid experience. Henry Wolff & Nancy Hennings ~ Wrathful Deity -- Clear Light -- A Choir Of Bells
If you're into weirdness, spooky stillness and meditation during tripping, you could do worse...

Long time supporter.
They used to have this thing ...with the background of the SFPD broadband playing live in the back ground.
Do they still mess with that? It was fun.

Deathprod & Biosphere - Nordheim Transformed at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter
Quote:
TUESDAY, JANUARY 13, 2015
Veteran ambient composer Biosphere, who’s released on labels including Touch and Brian Eno’s All Saints Records since he adopted the moniker in 1991, has reunited with his countryman Deathprod, known for his pitch-black explorations, for a split album. The last time they collaborated was for Nordheim Transformed, a 1999 split album based on music by composer Arne Nordheim.
Stator takes its title from an engineering term for the stationary part of a rotary machine, as RA reports, and the 40-minute record combines three new tracks from Biosphere with four from Deathprod, who also mastered it.
FACTMAG ~ LINK
Biosphere ~ Muses-C
Deathprod ~ Optical
Arne Nordheim ~ Hovering (from "Dodeka")
