I don't get people who say Islam has nothing to do with it
The instructions to do it are in the Quran.
It's as if people don't believe beliefs and action are not connected.

Well this is what Australia is pushing and if you think otherwise you get labelled a bigot or a racist(how could it be raceist??

They would have you believe that islam is a religion of peace that pose's no threat towards the free western society.

We have people flying over to join ISIS and theres people who think its ridiculos that these people should be locked up if they get back!!!

There are muslims trying to get sharia law passed into parliament to turn Australia into a shit hole that stones people in the street

Yeah,
I have to keep telling hyper liberals,
that pretty much any given western country
is literally a better place to live than any Sharia Country
Better with very little chance to debate it.

Asante said:
Suppose we are all in a bar. In this bar there's a guy who keeps getting his drink tipped over by others. People consider it a game to fuck with him, to spill his drink to annoy him.

This guy is out of control with rage now. He pulls a gun and shouts: "Next guy who spills my drink gets shot at!"  Reasonable? No. Legal or morally justified? No. But thats how it is.

Then one of the other patrons comes yet again grabs the glass, flings the contents  in the angry man's face and adds insults and taunts to it.

BAM, troll gets shot. No one but the angry man thinks this is justified morally, legally, or in any way is in proportion to the act.

But it was COMPLETELY PREDICTABLE. Charlie Hebdo magazine had cops in front of the door to protect them because they did it before and under cover of the firepower of those cops they continued insulting and challenging the extremists among the muslim population with their provocations.

Well guess what? Muslim extremists take no shit. They are armed and its an HONOR to them to go out in a hail of bullets. They have military training camps and war zones to hone the skills of combat in. If you challenge them to bring it on they WILL bring it on, they'll target your office at a staff meeting, waste the civilian cops posted as protection and execute the lot of you.

This is very well known especially in Europe. If you fuck with them, across years and under cover of police protection then whooptee doo, they are going to fuck with you.

Now we can cry all butthurt about how it shouldnt be and what a world we live in but this IS the world we live in so act accordingly until we sort this problem.

There were fatwas out on mohammed cartoons. Those are worldwide declarations of war. Professional trolls Charlie Hebdo answered the call and used their pens under cover of police pistols to go to war with these guys. Its said, "the pen is mightier as the sword". Well, not in a direct confrontation it isn't.

They wanted to fight radical Islam, well guess what radical islam fought back.

And again and again I say "no that is not justified or proportional" and its deeply regrettable that we have a group of people who use lethal force in response to criticism, but given how the situation is, and thge fact they had armed police guarding their building since 2011 and STILL kept the insults going, yes they have been damn stupid and are now martyrs for the cause of trolling.

Joe, your post might as well have not been made.

Didnt say that. In fact I made very clear the difference between the two and that one cannot justify the other except in the minds of the attackers.

Thats rather obvious.

It's rather obvious that you sympathize with terrorists.  You are advocating that satirists cease their ridicule of the religion, and have asserted that violent reactions should be expected as a norm.  You are helping cultivate the idea that we should live in fear of expressing a particular point of view in a nonviolent way.  I guess in your mind we should just wave a white flag in surrender to the extremists because that's exactly what they want - to use violence and fear to silence opposing points of view.

I don't get why you are defending these pricks. Did God tell you too or something shit.

Especially considering that you are a homosexual male. These people aren't to LBGT friendly. These people are the scum of the earth.

They do not represent the belief of most Muslim and they should be singled out for that not rationalize.

I'm glad your post was made. It shows how fucked up your thinking is.
People should expect to be killed for drawing a cartoon?

We should just bow down to terrorist by your logic.

If I bowed down to terrorists I'd give in to consensus here. Instead, I hold onto my opinion which you guys seem to fail to grasp.

That 'A' tag you're sporting is a joke.

Defends islamic violence at the same time dictating what is/isnt against pub rules. Total conflict of interest.

From what I've seen, the consensus is that the extremists are only doing themselves and their religion a disservice by committing acts of violence in response to satire.  It only strengthens the argument.  People die and that is horrible, but their ideas are only magnified by the violent retaliation.  You have suggested multiple times that they should have expected that sort of response, and that they should not have published their critical words and pictures in order to avoid this outcome.  That's basically like saying radical Islamists should have immunity from ridicule regardless of their actions.

What part are we not grasping, exactly?

You are just stating the obvious.  Countries with Islamic theocracies have laws against satire of Islam anyway.  You aren't bringing anything new to the table here.  The whole point is that this happened in a country that embraces western values of not only freedom to satire or express dissent towards ideas, but also freedom of religion.  The idea is that we, as humans, are perfectly capable of coexisting and tolerating one another.  When you have a group of people willing to slaughter entire schools full of innocent children because they don't agree with their education, the most gentle form of backlash I can imagine is drawing cartoons to ridicule them.  This idea of it becoming a normal thing that we should expect reactions like this in countries where laws are supposed to protect the freedom to satirize is disturbing.

i'm pretty sure that is just you being... flat out stupid, and purposely twisting his words to ... i dunno, be purposely retarded?

you CAN expect to upset radicalist muslims for the cartoons. how can you see it any other way? only if one is flat out retarded and unable to grasp the situation here. these people will kill over this cartoon crap. YES. it WILL be expected.

if you can't grasp this, then go to a muslim country and see what happens when you draw dicks on Muhammed.

see what happens.

Yes, you can expect it to happen, because they are savage apes.

Do you agree with Asante in saying the cartoons were just as bad as the cold-blooded murders? If so you have zero sense of morals.

Whether or not a response is expected has no influence on the morality of the response itself.

Can we stop with the "you're throwing out the baby with the bath water" argument against religion? Have some fucking sense.

The Old Testament and the Qur'an both contain a shitload of guidelines that explicitly command murder, rape, genocide, infanticide, and all for varying (petty) reasons.

If I'm a Muslim and I do something that's spelled out very simply in the book I think God wrote, I'm not misinterpreting anything. I'm a devout Muslim. Not an extremist.
