    #2108308 - 11/15/03 03:42 AM (13 years, 25 days ago)

basically, i want to know which substrate will the grow the biggest, most bad-ass tc's possible. i did the reasearch, but there is no clear cut answer. what are the specific nutrients these shrooms thrive on? maybe it can be extracted into a concentrate!?!

Tuna, Umm would you be so kind as to explain to this noob here what TC's are? I'm assuming a strain.

Hey alounacara, what is WBS and is it better then BRF or RYE?
Is it good for bulk?

WBS = Wild Bird Seed and it is sometimes better to use WBS instead of BRF or Rye in different situations. If you want to spawn, I find it easier to use WBS. People have different opinions.

basically, i want to know which substrate will the grow the biggest, most bad-ass tc's possible.

bulk substrates. an 8 inch deep bed of poo\straw\compost will do nicely.

if you don't wanna do bulk (which IMO is the way to go), you would probably do best with a 4 inch deep tray of birdseed and vermiculite mixed 2:1.

depth is key.

I'm not putting poo and rotted stuffs in my closet. I'm tring to grow a bulk subsrate that is normal like rye or brf ya know. bulk means large quantities of stuffs. No poo for me. That's groase even if the mushies like it, keep the poop outside.

I wonder where a good WBS tek is

You can have a bulk BRF substrate you know. Term of bulk exactly as the url says is more of something that's less

No poo for indoor man that's sick!
