Heck yes, I love my mini monos! I always find myself with a few leftover qts of spawn so I've got a few different mini's I rotate.
I've found that using the same scaled down substrate recipe (Damion5050) at 3" depth my minis actually keep dialed in better than my 66qts. I like the standard 6 hole mono design with 1" holes. But I do hate polyfil and would be open to ANY new designs, especially your tape design.
You have some sweet flushes going on, I will take notes!

I remember when I was just starting thinking that I didn't want to run a big tub and I wished there was a tek for something smaller
Niw I like em cause its easy to run side by sides or test genetics

Hey Pasty I'm going to be making these soon. I do have a question and I don't know if this is the right place to ask it. I know cubes generally don't need a casing, but is there a reason not to case? If I have cvg mix leftover with every tub I don't see why I couldn't just throw a light casing on and fruit it. Is there a downside?

IMO the only downside would be if the culture is still in a veg state. Then the casing will be overrun and will no longer be effective. This also delays pinning.

Would late casing be more beneficial?

I kinda do a later casing anyway with coir. I give it two days after 100% case and fruit. It usually gets colonized enough anyway

What about waiting a few days at 100%, fruiting and waiting for a few pins, then apply a coir casing? With as easy as cvg is if there is any benefit at all I will do it because it's zero extra work. Speed doesn't really concern me either.

That is true late casing, it worked well for me when I did it.

That's what I thought. If there isn't a reason not to then I suppose I will try a few late casings Do you mist/fan with your casings?
Thanks bud!

i actually tested dub tubs on small tubs before ever doing larger 66 quart tubs. i find the smaller tubs easier to manager as far as not doing much maintenance. its just back then no one wrote teks about it lol..ill send you a pm with some pics.

I already bought 2 this past weekend. Spawned some rye berries on Saturday and they are already ripping through the tubs.
