Possibility of white fuzzy contams?
    #2107170 - 11/14/03 05:11 PM (20 years, 4 months ago)

I currently have 8 jars which were incoculated 12 days ago using the pf tek method. None appear to have any contaminants and are growing well. However, in the last two days one of my jars grew what appears to be a fifth mycelium area. I only inoculated in 4 places, but there are now 5 distinct circular mycelium regions. It looks exactly like mycelium, so I am 90% sure that is what it is, but given the strange way in which it grew I was wondering if there are any contams that appear the same as mycelium.

Yea if it's white and looks like the other spots then it's probably just another germination sight, some times when you inject the spores they run down the inside of the jar and you can end up with 3 germination spots at one inoculation sight. Just mycelium, it's all good
