What a crappy first grow

Took my PF jars 2 months to colonize. Too much water, verm really coarse -- all I could find.

5 of six cakes put out 2 sorry ass mushrooms each and then quit. The last one gave me jack. I dunked them all overnight, but they didn't start up again (even though they haven't rotted), after 6 days.

I'm casing next time. Only used boiled water in a tropical country to to sterilize the jars, but had 100% innoculation, so my place must not be all that unclean.

i feel your pain man, i am still trying to get my baby to fruit but she is resisting me.I think i am wearing her down though

i agree with script.
if you grow two cakes as cakes you'll get something like this.





if you cased two cakes you'd get something like this.



casings will give you about 3x the yeild of cakes and is well worth the effort.

the container is about 10x5 inches and about 3 inches deep.
