Hello shroomery-people and happy the new year, i hope health and fun to all of you.
I'm a newbie in mushroom hunting.. I just started collected edible mushrooms the last summer.( i don't like edible mushrooms so much but anyway) An old-man friend of mine showed me some mushrooms-species and where to hunt them. One day we found some mushrooms inside a dung. He said to me those shrooms was Panaeolus species and they are psycoactives. I collected them and dried them... but i never tested them. I'm pretty sure they was Panaeolus papilionaceus.
After reading those forums and others i made the conclusion that Panaeolus papilionaceus are inactive.. sniff. What's your opinion are they indeed inactive or i might try them the next time ? Still searching to collect these amanita muscaria btw :P I might never try any of both shrooms but i surely like to hunt mushrooms

Better off posting in the mushroom identification forum; http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/3
If they were indeed what you though they were then yes, inactive.

Definitely inactive. Don't bother. If they were I would have pounds in my stash.

Not active
Anyone who says they are is a victim of miss identification

Thanks for the replies. I apologize about the off-topic if any mod can move it to mushroom identification section it would be great
It's a shame that they are inactive... Currently in my country xxx the only psychoactive mushrooms that i know and grow are papilionaceus, Amanita pantherina and Amanita muscaria var. formosa. I have seen plenty panthers but i'm scared to try them. They are listed as toxic-deadly but i assume in low dosages there will be no danger at all.. Whow knows i will try to pick some muscaria the next season just to be sure.
