made agar dishes, now what?

okay, made up 10 petri dishes. Think it was maybe poured a little thick, does it need to be swirled around after bring added, because I added enough so it was all covered but it looked a little thick, with some other dishes I added some and then tilted the dish so it evenly covered it. I added one ml h202 following mycofiles tek. The dishes were then wrapped in parafilm and placed in fridge. Trying to find a fresh market with oysters. How long will the agar last for in the fridge? Is that where the dishes should be? After inncoc, they should be wrapped in parafilm again right? Was wrapping them the first time unneccesary?

>because I added enough so it was all covered

That?s correct, yes.

>I added one ml h202 following mycofiles tek.

Only 1ml ?

> How long will the agar last for in the fridge?
Forever.

>Is that where the dishes should be?
>After inncoc, they should be wrapped in parafilm again right?
Yes.

> Was wrapping them the first time unnecessary?
No, it reduces the evaporation, contamination risk and makes them easier to handle.

sweet, so it sounds like things are off to a good start other than the H202 ratio. I mixed 3 grams light malt, with 3 grams agar and 150 ml water. the tek said you could add more like 6-10 ml, but that was for liter. The mix I made fit in a 1/2 pint. think that's still not enough?
