Will any wild birdseed work??? Do I need to watch out for certin seeds in the bags?

try to avoid sunflower seeds, finch feed works well.

get the cheapest shit you can find, I think that usually works the best.
As for seeds, you can skim most of them off when you soak the birdseed.

bird basics from pets mart works well. its in a red, white, and blue bag. $5 for 20lbs, $8 for 40lbs.
foaf just sifts floating sunflower seeds. this particular blend of bird seed is primarily red and white millet.
