Hey fellow Floridians!
Haven't spotted any pan cyans or cubes all summer here in Central FL with the heat. Although as fall equinox approaches, the little ones are beginning to resurface Heres a couple shots from the past week (+ some milk caps)

I'm trying to think of what part you're referring to and am coming up blank. The only place I can think of is Miami or Broward but there are plenty of state and national parks close by. It's right next to the Everglades.
I moved to the Tampa bay area, and there are no pastures here, and no wooded areas either for that matter. The small patches of wooded areas you do find are inhabited by filthy bums which have littered them up something awful. I'm talking trash, and tents everywhere,so I wouldn't feel safe out there regardless. I used to have no problem with homeless people until I saw how they have destroyed this part of Florida, and what's left of it's natural state
I'm starting to miss all my miles and miles of pristine untouched wilderness a fella could get lost in, back in Kentucky, and all the mushrooms there were to find too
About 45 minutes south and you have a great area for hunting

Great first hunt in North East Florida thanks to Shroomery and the trusted identifiers here to assure me what I have is legitimate.
Copelandia Cyanescens in a cow pasture. Found about 15 wet grams in an hour

I Hunted your beautiful state for a few days. I was denied access to the most promising cow field. I attempted to sneak in but the traffic never stops. Any way I'm on the board
Woohoo

Panaeolus cinctulus suck imo they really are not potent. I ate like 25 of them and had almost no effect it was like the lightest level one trip possible. I ate a lot of them too it took me a good 5 minutes to eat all 25 I even collected 50 and dryed them only to find a few had some bugs in them and the bugs ate the shrooms. Unfortunately they're the only wild ones ive seen around here.

Agreed my least favorite mushroom store bought, wild, edible, active etc etc so far. Although I bet once I trip on them hard I will change my mind.
In oregon I call them dog poop mushrooms over hear Ive been calling them lizard poop mushrooms. I generally dislike the taste and feel slightly nauseated eating them fresh. I've never taken the time to dry any. I forced myself to eat them over here just so I can say that I did.
I was truly nervous for a bit about some kind of ecoli or other random sickness lol. I musta been trippin. Not. I only ate a few. Anyway truly disappointed no cubes or pan cyans.
The south has beaten me up. Friggin Mosquitos on the islands destroyed my legs. Usually they don't touch me or leave a mark. Down here I got anhilated, so very very itchy. The damn ants here bite the fuck outa me too wtf...
Also even your guys grass seeds stick the fuck into my feet hands and are very fucking hard to get out. And I hear I gotta be looking out for snakes. Towards the end of my hunt I was literally tip toeing around nervous as fuck wondering what else was gonna snatch my ass.

FYI: stomping and walking with heavy steps will prevent more snake encounters than tip toeing.

Central Florida here and went out this morning scouting a new field after the rains a couple days ago and found a diamond in the rough! I only spent 10 minutes in the field and was completely satisfied. I've never found a field as plentiful as this!

Season's damn near over and I still have yet to go hunting. Maybe sunday or monday night, it's supposed to rain. Thought it might have already been too late but some of the recent posts in here have inspired me

Back out to the new field I scoured out and AGAIN spent 10-15 minutes and had more than enough pans and Liberty caps. Never in my 15 years of hunting have I come across a field as magnificent as this. It's a hidden field 5 miles from my house. I'm at a loss of words...

You did not find Liberty caps in Florida, I caution you against eating whatever you picked. Do you have pictures of this find?

Edit:
***Pans and cubes***
Ha, did NOT mean to type Liberty Cap! My apologies, they're obviously not anywhere near here. I may have over heard a buddy saying something about them and subconsciously wrote that. Who knows.
caps ranged from around quarter to half dollar size! I'll share some pics shortly.
