Is there a 7/11 right nearby?
HAHA,well there is a convenient store right across the street, where did your mother used to live?

Thanks! Took a few more but it was so humid my lens kept fogging up and they came out hazy.

don't be too mad at that drenching humidity. AUG got dry up here and there were many days with extremely low humidity...and then the fungi disappeared.

Finally found gymnopilus on downed cypress today. Probably inactive, but very exciting considering finding gymns on any cypress has been one of my goals for years. Will post later with tons of other randoms.

Wow! All the years I've been searching for mushrooms and I've never found any (or heard of/seen) Gymnopilus fruiting from cypress. I'm stoked to see these cypress gyms you speak of!

Dude I couldn't believe my eyes
There was only 2 lone specimens, quite old too, unfortunately.. But I believe the species was also fruiting on nearby tree debris.(not pine) I photographed them as well with lots of other cool shit. I have a wedding to go to, but will hopefully get this stuff uploaded off my camera after. I'll make a thread.
Bloodworms notorious find jumpstarted my search. My find was not nearly as great as this but eh. http://mushroomobserver.org/156757?q=2dU0N

Behold, the goods....
Gyms on cypress-

My first chants.. there were 100s!!!

Today was nothing short of a fungal frenzy!! Lmao. Literally photographed over 100 today, in which i will compile a thread for another time.. So much awesomeness. My first chanterelles, first gyms on pine, first gyms on palm boots. Incredible boletes and polypores. Lots of cool nature shots too.

Nice, man! Good to see ya back, Seann! Nice chantys! Im goin to my spot tomorrow morning to check on my favorite Gymn tree! I went a couple days ago and saw pins EVERYWHERE!!!! I'll finally be able to know for SURE (after a YEAR of watching this tree but not being able to catch it in time before all the fruits get waterlogged...) that these are G.cyanopalmicola!!!!
I should probably upload some pics...Haven't in awhile. You guys dont mind pics of inactives, do ya? I'll throw in the G.cyanopalmicola too

I come to you, in the most angry of ways, this dark September morning.... I drove all the way out there...... I can hardly get it out. The whole tree was cleared of pins! This is the only tree is the entire place I have seen these on. It's so difficult to get out to this spot.... im not even sure what im trying to say here. I'll be back on later, with pics and a more clear headed explanation of this incredibly frustrating situation.

Damn, what a kick in the dick! I hope they fruit again, I was out today and mostly everything was soggy or old. Maybe they got rained out.. I did find some more cool gyms, though, including a single sand-dwelling one.. Will prolly hunt again and gather more goodies for a thread. Keep us updated art!

Sorry man, but due to the condition of the mushroom- nobody can properly identify that. This also isn't really the thread for a random I'd either.

Again, this thread isn't your personal ID thread, you were told this and posted again anyways which is really rude. You need to create your own thread if you want ID's, it's not difficult but if you need help doing that send me a PM. Please do not do that again.
