never used those, they seem good enough though. have you considered looking for used technics 1200s? i know some pretty good decks+mixer deals can be found on ebay or elsewhere.

do not buy those turntables. ive heard lots of reports of them breaking down, as well just being a shitty turntable in general.

don't buy newmark anything
newmark and gemini are pretty much the bottom brands. You may think you're saving money, but trust me, you'll eventually want better tables, and then when you add the cost of the newmarks up with the cost of the good tables, you won't have saved money at all.

really hmm, i really cant afford anything nice, and am not sure if i would want to. what would you recomend i get aside from some technics (that i want but cant afford?)

yeah, actually im looking at the tt2 tables now, i talked to a local dj who has had them for a year or 2 now. and they said they work fine.
i have read reports though of the tables being really suceptable to electromagnetic interference which can cause a rapid gain in speed, but grounding should help that out

TT1's and TT200's are different tables. I *think*(don't hold me to it) that the TT1's are belt drives(bad!).
The TT200's aren't bad for a beginner, especially if you're doing more mixing than scratching.
And I would never buy any other mixer (except for my main, 24 channel mackie) than a Vestax.
NOT everybody can afford the 1200's!
