Just gotta pressure cook the last of my rye berries this evening (a good 6-7 hrs worth ) then I'm on to the oats. I'll keep y'all posted on my results.

Well I did one cup oats with 180ml, 190ml, and 200ml and cooked them for 90 minutes.
I just took them out of the pressure cooker minutes ago. All 3 look like they could work but the 180ml one looks best to me. No pooling water and no burst grains, the moisture level seems pretty good. This was just a test batch to see how it looks... I will do a g2g transfer into all 3 tomorrow when everything is cooled i'll report back when I see new growth.

Just used this tek on 11 jars. Came out of the pressure cooker looking absolutely great! Won't know for sure how they'll do for about a week but everything looks awesome thanks for this buddy!

So how long does it take for your whole oat jar to colonize? Cause ive been using popcorn and getting some pretty good results, I got fully colonized jar within 14 days, prolly could have been quicker if I would have timed shakes better but oh well they recovered everytime perfectly.

That depends on the inoculation method and the culture, I can't give any kind of accurate window because some of my jars can colonize in 7 days and some of them can still take 3-4 weeks, depending on if I inoculated them using agar wedges, G2G, spores, or liquid inoculant, or if I'm working with something particularly aggressive.
Also I don't want to get too deep into popcorn but I'm sure you've noticed that it has a somewhat negative reputation around the board, and I'm mostly on board with that. It's good for GLCs and that's about it, I wouldn't use it as spawn unless it was the only thing left in the entire world. It's appearance of a quick colonization time is indicative of exactly what's flawed about it; it's not all that nutritious and there's diminished surface area for mycelium to grab onto.

I'm going to have to give this a try, I think I avoided oats from the get go because I figured feed-grains probably had fungicides seeing as how their not meant for human consumption.

Oats are the only grain I've ever seriously used, I used popcorn for my first tub then got a 50 lb bag of oats cause I heard it was good for stone production (who knows) but the oats were just so simple and less finicky than WBS. And cheap as cheap
The only plus I have for popping corn is the smell...when it's in the PC my whole house smells delicious

Check the inside of one of those loose grains to see how hydrated it is inside, if you have any doubts, then dry and load.

I ditched all my VDG tek grains,
All looked waaay too wet on the inside. Nothing pooling per say but it looked like I had wet spot contam before even trying.
Will post results.

This is what mine came out of the pressure Cooker looking like, the moisture content seems to be bang on. I won't know until I g2g them but they look very promising.

You just got to follow your own tek and they should come out looking like this haha. I would imagine it could be small differences in grains that could make them appear a little different. The tek worked great for me.
Only thing I'd change is on second adding of boiling water I'd let em sit for like 5 minutes so they heat right through the whole kernel. Mine cooled down way to fast as if just the outside heated up. I think when they retain the heat a little longer it helps the excess water evaporation. I monitored my moisture content, checked every few hours until it was near perfect then loaded jars. I'm sure having a fan blowing on them would've sped things up but I don't have one in my new place yet so that wasn't an option.
I need to g2g these suckers ASAP so I can see how she goes. I just got way to far ahead of myself with the g2gs haha I have like 30 jars already colonized and another dozen jars ready to do and my fruiting chamber is already near full.

It sounds like you didn't count the hairs on your pinky correctly. You did this for thirty seconds and cataloged the results?
Just kidding, but I figured 30 seconds was enough time for the boiling water to penetrate the grains. I'll try longer and if it's consistently better I'll adjust the tek.
Thanks for the input.

I just looked at my VDG tek and compared to your pictures.
They look fucking fine. The condensation was bugging me out but I just realized that this was the first time I left the jars in the PC and let it de-pressurize normally. That's probably why I have more condensation then usual on day 2.
And I tossed them all except this one,
