Great photo from Seattle

I was out west for the first time in my life the other month and got a great shot of these non-gilled mushrooms I don't know the name of. I just felt proud of myself for how good the photo came out

Looks like a species in the genus Stereum or perhaps Trametes.

I wish I knew how to better ID them. There were a lot of different types over there that I'd never seen before. I guess the mycology scene out there is a lot more active and year-round than it is where I live. Sort of jealous I don't live out there

They have not.  They might be in the future, though no one is working on it that I know of.  I haven't seen anything published about it, but I analyzed the sequences in GenBank and it looks like they need to be.

Good to know, is there anyone that really likes polypores that could be informed?
