I haven't looked at the 12 pages on this thread but I have a couple things to say in regard to the first post
I am clearly 100% not a theist nor am I an atheist. My beliefs on God are much more complex than that
but first off, atheists in general call theists unintelligent, and use it as a sort of superiority tactic. The same way vegans act exclusive and greater than thou. While there are some great moral and logical lessons to learn from both veganism and atheism. But these positives are warded off by the greater than thou nature of both of these ideological groups
On the other polar end, we have organized religion. And this is just horrible news. A couple things that I think are clear is that there is no evidence for a God as an invisible person that you can literally talk to through prayer. These is yet to be evidence of that. And also, there is yet to be evidence of an omnipresent God. An omnipresent God would be niether Good nor Bad. An omnipresent God would literally be existence. Which is much different than the God of religions
Also, atheists tend to have their mind made up about other things that are not directly tangible. They dismiss concepts like chi, qi, yoga, acupunture, and other "spiritual" things
And in response to the OP; I agree 100%
just my 2 cents

I personally think it is silly to believe that any scripture is 100% based off a psychoactive. I also think it is silly to think any psychoactive will give you lasting enlightenment

I personally think it's just fine to believe scripture is based off a psychoactive, drugs are known to cause all sorts of delusions. I also think it's silly to believe that any psychoactive will give you ANY enlightenment, let alone lasting.

Maybe they were created simultaneously?
maybe 14 billion years ago there were scientists who did an experiment to try to recreate the big bang, and when the experiment occurred.. BANG. And its just a never ending process or humans evolving so intelligent they recreate their own doom, just to evolve again and create it all over again, 1 second faster than before
who. fucking. knows.

hm... it's a psalm. it's not a literal message or a law. it's a song in remembrance of Babylon and how they dashed the little ones against the rocks... it says "O daughter of Babylon, taker of spoils, blessed shall ye be who rewards you as you have served us." "Blessed is he who takes and dashes your little ones against the rocks.!"
it's a song of detestation and about what the Babylonians did to the Hebrews. it's not about "God said to smash rocks".
so can you stop the tag-line bullshit now koods?
You stop the apologist bullshit. That passage is about GODS wrath against the enemies of his chosen people. Smashing their children against the rocks as divine justice,

most likely not.
I think it was all just a publicity stunt and made up fables just to distract the roman authority from the common folks mushroom use. They hid their mushroom use in stories

Why the hell does what a person experiences during a drug induced experience automatically qualify as some sacred religious truth?

not at all. it's about the people of Jerusalem solemnly sowing the seeds of sorrow; they might pray that God "bless the Babylonians" as such they were "served"; and they are saying to "dash the babies" like their babies were dashed, as repentance. you realize that they don't dash any babies in the psalm right? they ask God for this: does God give it to them? NO.
this isn't apologist nothing... this isn't me saying "oh God is great". now, i think the concept is just being misrepresented in certain cases, but certainly not in others; and even when so being misrepresented, it's done in a parable, as a means of making a story. sure the story involves cordoning off from the rest of the world, but the world back then was an ugly place, and Jews have been through the test of time, of those ages. i think they deserve a little tea and sympathy for having to even write the damn Torah to struggle to remain a people.
and despite the xenophobic nature of the scripture, it really doesn't go across any ethical boundaries in the Torah, save in narrative, when God "swoops" in to correct things.
now in some of the Prophets and Numbers, yeah, sure have some more ethical lapses, but those texts are different, they are a matter of (yes, delusional and made up) historical record, and involve more in the context of human races and tribes, as such, fending each other off, and keeping true to the nature of their God. God, the only time he smites the Earth to harm, is in Exodus; which is just a really flashy way of saying don't fuck with Jews anymore.
can't you see it's inherently logical? i mean this isn't science... it's religion... this is before science was a thing. but you still... even with this understanding... still cannot see the logic here?

The prophet Isaiah fortells of the destruction of Babylon by God. This is what followers of abrahamic religions expect of their God. It's in THE FUCKING BIBLE!
