No point of arguing on this thread, guys. Christians shouldn't care what Atheists think and Atheists shouldn't care what Christians think. There is no way of simply changing someone elses views.
Unless you are some muslim Jihad type mother fucker. Then please blow yourself up. Not into a building though.
Or bus..
Or train..
Plane..
Car..
Subway station.
You get it. Just stand in a field where no one can be harmed and just go boom.

Words are a tool. Nietzsche was the most knowledgeable philosopher AND philologer of the nineteenth century. Do you even know what philology is without looking it up? Because he devoted his life to studying the movement of words through history via sociopolitical forces using etymological and historical evidence. Read the same book before you scoff like just another ignorant, lazy, self-assured plebe.his work is far from perfect but he knew a lot and you can learn a lot from him.

so we accept a symbol and we're saved
the bible does say you're wrong but how you're a greater expert on god than the word of god I dont even begin to try and understand
“For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved” (Romans 10:9-11).

You tell me whether the truth hurt, this time. Sometimes the truth is uncomfortable to me but in this case since I was the one relaying the truth to you, you would have to tell me.

Not really. Could you find a parallel Aesop's fable that explains the rules for eating Kosher? Or taking your brother's wife as your own should he die? Or stoning adulterers? I could go on. As I expected you have a child's view of the bible. A shallow perusal which has given you a false sense of expertise that facts do not support.
Can you find s justin beiber song that parallels vivaldi's 4 seasons?
Do you know what the word "convoluted" means?

That's an assumption.
Read this book where a cardiologist documents near death experiences of dozens of his patients and discovers things do not seem to stop when your heart does, you just logout of your body and go on elsewhere.

Near death isn't death.
And couldn't those moments be explained scientifically? I'm sure the brain is still functioning, if just for a short while, after death. Like a final dream if you will.

Read that book, its got stuff like blind people seeing things with their spirit eyes or from vantage points that could not have been had by the patient.
