gypsum powder vs pellets?
    #21028035 - 12/26/14 01:10 PM (9 years, 1 month ago)

Looking to buy gypsum. Online I can find fine powder gypsum on line but it's 30-40$ for a small amount. At a local garden store I can find it way cheaper but in a 30lbd bag in pellets. Will pellet be ok to use?

I use the pellets, they dissolve after being wet for a while...

What was the mix u used? Would the ratio be different since it's  in a pellet not a powder?

If it's grains throw them in your grain jars while soaking. A pinch between your thumb and index is all you need to get the job done.

I use pellet gypsum, dissolves in seconds. I stir just to make sure.

EDIT:

I figured you'd take my word for it but:

Gypsum is used to provide essential minerals.  The fact that it helps to prevent clumping is icing on the cake.

Yes in grain jars.  There shouldn't be more than a pinch between your thumb and forefinger in each jar. Or, add it to soak water.

If you use too much it will mess with your water content and you'll have dry grains.

We use the pellets,

Don't worry bro. They dissolve in water. Add them to your soak. A pinch between your index and thumb.
