Care about what? A stupid Seth Rogen movie?
Yeah I'm sure a nation armed with 50 year old technology assembled a prolific hacker force, then used it to hack a movie studio. How many layers of improbability do we have to go through?
It's much much much more likely that this is being used as, not only a convenient distraction from the most scathing report on torture since the Nuremberg Trials, but as a mechanism to say "see?! the government NEEDS to regulate the internet, the bad guys can get you there, too."

more conspiracy theories.
If you knew the definition of the term, you'd realize that until it's proven beyond a reasonable doubt that NK is responsible, that every theory about the conspiracy is, you guessed it, a conspiracy theory.
But I appreciate your otherwise well thought out addition to the conversation.
Lol, I could contribute. But, then were left with your "I know everything" response right after.
NK could have done it. You don't know the facts, so stop acting like it.

Exactly. They could have done it.
I could go kill somebody right now. But I won't because I have no reason, and you can't convict me of murder because I have the potential ability to do it.

Wow you have horrible reading comprehension skills.
You took it as him saying, "North Korea has the ability to do this."
He meant, "North korea may have done this."
Your response literally means nothing. Whether NK hackers or rebel hackers did this is equally plausible in my mind. As stated already, you don't have the facts, so stop acting like you do.

North Korea has the ability, therefore they may have done it.
If they didn't have the ability, they couldn't have done it...
And yeah, nobody here has more facts than anyone else. So can we all stop presuming NK guilty until proven innocent? Or do we continue the conversation on the basis of an assumption?

Spectacular analysis. However, as you said, North Korea has the ability. Therefore they may have done it. You don't seem to believe this is a possibility. I am saying that any hacker group is equally likely to have committed this crime. Some people other than I are assuming it is an NK group because of the movie's plot, and what has been done and said by Kim Jong-un.

There is nothing but circumstantial proof against NK. Basically "it looks the same as some other attacks that we also think were NK."
It's a lot more reasonable to assume it wasn't NK, than it is. They had as much motive as Paramount, or the US Government, or Google, Raytheon, an eccentric investor, etc etc. But who had the means? Who profits from this? As desperate as they seem, I doubt NK would assemble an elite hacker force (or use nonexistent wealth to hire one) simply to hack a Japanese company, use it to make the US angry, and still have to make threats to get an offensive movie pulled. A movie their people would have never seen, just like the countless of web, news, television, print, and book media that's been negative towards NK for half a century.

Shiiiieeett, could be.
Not only is everyone talking about it, but everyone is thinking "wow, the North Koreans hacked Sony, watched the movie, and it was so crazy that they threatened us with nukes if we released it. I need to see this!"

And yet you still have absolutely no way of knowing if it was them or not. No one knows, so saying, "it wasn't NK" is very much a hasty generalization.
You set yourself up and got called out, deal with it.

I'm perfectly fine with the fact that, right now, NK is just as likely to be guilty as any other nation or group or person I could name.
Sure, I don't know for a fact that it wasn't NK, it's simply my opinion. The reason I pointed it out, and called people gullible, is because it seemed to me everyone in the thread was operating as if NK being guilty was a foregone conclusion.

The evidence for it is more compelling than any other evidence I've seen, however, I personally am not buying into anything until further evidence surfaces.
You early stated that is wasn't NK as a cold hard fact. That is my only problem with what you have said.
