What guitar do you have/want?

I have a jackson PS-1 and an accoustic(spanish) guitar. it plays very light and sounds ok too. I'm going to buy a bew one soon, probably an ibanez. these are my guitars:
I play my jackson through a digitech RP-3 effects processor/pre-amp.
I'm thinking about buying this one: ibanez sa 160QM
I think this one is a pretty good guitar in that price range (around 400 Euro) Does anyone owns this guitar or has suggestions for another one?

On the left is my first guitar, a Squier Bullet (eh) and on the right is what I just picked up, a Highway Series Strat.
A better picture of the new guitar.
My tiny 15W amp, but it suits my needs for now.
(I had to scale down the first and third pictures for my upload limit )
Next, for Christmas, I'll probably pick up either:
a) a bigger amp (maybe 25-30W)
b) a wah pedal
or
c) an acoustic (unlikely though)

That's a good guitar.. though the bridge sucks The S-series is good. Ibanez all the way. I don't play guitar much, but I know a thing or two. My band uses Ibanez exclusively. Judging from what I know and what our guitarists have said.. that thing would not ever stay in tune. If you are going to get one with a tremolo.. make sure it has locking nuts. That looks like the cheap generic Ibanez tremolo bridge. If you want a tremolo.. I'd go for one with the 'ZR' tremolo, or the 'EDGE2". It may cost a little more but it will save you a lot of headache. Or you could just get one without a tremolo and their standard bridges are fine. This is my current new bass - (not an actual picture just one I pulled off the web) My old Ibanez Ergodyne EDC700 as seen here - This is the rig I use - But I am hoping to upgrade to this head- And this is my dream bass -

I?m a bassist. I am currently playing an Ibanez SRX705. Its a nice affordable 5-string bass that plays well and has some heavy punch.
Someday I hope to own a nice Warwick bass. Either a ?Thumb? or a ?Dolphin Pro I?. 5-string version either way. Warwick Thumb 5-string:

shroomism: it's a SA series.
on the ibanex site it says this about the tremelo: One of those features is the SAT tremolo which allows the guitarist total control of their tremolo arm, without all of the problems associated with the usual non-locking tremolo bridge.
what exactly does it mean?
nice guitars/bass everyone, keep those pics coming

Ibanez kick ass when they are new, but according to many reports from multiple acquaintances they do not age well. I think there is significant neck warpage But if you can take care of it and be sure not to leave it in a car trunk on a hot summer day...

Interesting.. I haven't heard about the SAT tremolo. Basically that means it won't go out of tune every time you hit the whammy bar.

I have not run into this problem. The guitarists in my band all have their original Ibanez guitars from 10 years ago, they still play them sometimes, and we are a metal band if that means anything to you. No cases/left in the hot trunk/cold rooms/been in humid rooms/massive temp fluctuations/been thrown around for years.. still pumping out the tunes. Shit I've seen those things fall on the headstock more times then I can count. Hehe.. that's a guitarist nightmare.. you see it tipping over..and it goes in slow motion.... NOooOOOoOoooOOooOOO!!!!!! - !!BAM!! But then it's fine. Ibanez are as durable a guitar as I have come across. The guitarists have 6 of them now, between the two of them. All of them work great.

I've got an Epiphone Les Paul 100, but I put amazing pickups in it: Seymore Duncan JB and a '59, and it sounds fucking amazing. It is the non-Gibson alternative to sounding better than some Gibsons.
I've also got a Peavey Horizon II, sorta POS... And a Raimundo Classical Guitar.
I want a PRS, or a Rickenbacker, or a reeallly nice Fender Strat, like a '62 or a '59.

very nice sure they are beautifull, but never played one yet.
I tried the Ibanez SA 160QM today and it sounded amazing and played very light, better than all the (more expensive) ibanez RG's in the store. Definately going to buy it sometime soon

Well, if thats true, then I'll add an Ibanez Joe Satriani model to my want list... I love playing them in the store, but my friends always warn me about their durability, and almost all my friends have become disasisfied with the S-series for some reason or another... But then again, my friends are not known for treating their possesions well... Plus you have to consider the fact that most guitars purchased new 10 years ago were of better original quality than the cheap shit made today... I still think Parker Fly's kick the shit out of everything... I just wish they werent so expensive

LTD stephan carpenter edition, black, custom fitted with EMG pickups LTD spider, with a dimebucker pickup, custom paint job [done by myself and a friend] Ibanez 7-string AX, 'cherry fudge'
for all who say Ibanez are good... only if you buy the most expensive models. most of the shit they put out there is GARBAGE. the only reason so many musicians use them is because they get them for free, and hooked up with nice pickups.
Shroomism, what model Ibanez does your guitarist use?

I gots me a US Fender Strat (texas special) with a sunburst finish. For my acoustic, I got a dreadnought style Guild. What I really want though is a Gibson super 400. Its really hard to find and costs like 10,000$.
